Re: red dot makes hold and follow through apparent
Are you looking "through" your red dot device? or is it a laser dot on the target. If the latter you may as well shoot from the hip as you are probably looking at the target and not your sights. Thruxton.

At home
BILL32. Are you saying it's OK to drive while being 4 times over the drink limit as long as you don't get caught......If you do get caught , expect heavy fines.. Meanwhile try to get the law changed . Don't ask me how but support those who are trying. Thruxton.

Hi, yes I tried this during training for precision pistol shooting. I had the monitor on the bench in front of me, it gives an indication of when my heartbeat has slowed down and I am calm. It made a small amount of improvement to my score but that may have been a result of taking more time between ...

Webley pump
G'day, I bought a new Webley ultraglide pump on the net 4 months ago, worked fine until this week when it started to feel odd. Now after a couple of pumps it is getting air pressure resistance on the up stroke and nothing on the down stroke. I.m assuming there's a valve not working somewhere. Any ad...

Surely there is a difference in technique between olympic air pistol (where the question was posted) and bullseye shooting where 3-4lbs trigger weight is required. In my opinion Kanedal is on the mark, 500 odd grams is much more desireable than 2000 odd grams . If you like the heavy trigger- go for ...

School visits
As a way of introduction to shooting/guns we invite our local highschool year 8 (12 year olds) to come to our pistol club for a couple of hours every year. They sample air pistols first and get a lecture on safety, then try .22 followed by larger calibres. They all seem to enjoy themselves. Maybe we ...

heartbeat
I have been experimenting for about 2 months now and all I can say at the moment is that at least it makes me wait a while between shots, it gives me time to concentrate more on what i'm supposed to be doing . Thruxton.

Floating groups.
While shooting air pistol I have recently noticed that the groups I shoot, while being fairly tight, seem to float around (high, low, left, right) The groups dont drift far but i'd like 10s instead of 9s.I can just about hold the 9 ring, 1 or 2 floaters in the 8, Pb is 560. I use a Pardini P10. Any th...

novelty matches.
We have just held our invitational open." Invitational" so that our small club in the bush didn't have to comply strictly to issf rules and we could inject a sense of fun into our shooting. As a novelty match we cut a target into quarters through the bullseye. Each shooter had one quarter to...

precision shooting heart beat
Does anyone think there may be a benefit in using a heart beat monitor to confirm a nice slow beat prior preparing for a shot, ie not being too anxious? Thruxton.
