I dont really run in very big shooting circle. I started a new job this year teaching at a school with a marksmanship. I am hoping to start helping them out as well as working on my own techniques this winter. I have been luckily enough to pick up some great used equipment in the past and I am hopin...

When buying used what do I look for?
I find myself in the market for a used PCP Match Air Rifle. When it comes to looking at used air rifles I have to admit I am out of my expertise. What should I look at when it comes to normal use or signs of abuse?

Coach Needed
I currently live in east central Indiana(US) and I am looking for somebody that can help me with my prone shooting. I have read the prone section in "the ways of the rifle" and I have ended up with more questions then answers. I am willing to drive a few hours from zip code 47362 but I wou...

Young guns with Old Guns
While cleaning my Anschutz I was thinking to myself about the history of the rifle and where it might of been prior to me. I was wondering this because the rifle is older then I am. I was born in 84 and the rifle is stamped 73. I have access to a 1813 and even a 2013 but currently I prefer shooting ...

Anschutz 1413 reciever stamp question.
I am trying to figure out why my Anschutz has an A stamped on the receiver. I've tried this question on another forum and as of yet no one knows why. Using the gun auction sites as a photo reference I have yet seen one with an A on the receiver. However some on the other forum have referenced having...

Coat Cleaning Procedure?
What is the best way to clean the dirt and grime off the outside of a canvas coat? EDIT: After doing some looking and reading I think I have come up with two possible ideas. 1) Magic Eraser 2) Dish Soap, Warm water, a scrub sponge made for non stick cookware Both would require the jacket to be hung ...

Shooting Jacket Confusion
I am in the market for my first shooting jacket. I would prefer a used jacket in good condition. I have heard that is the way to go. I have my measurements but I can not find a table that will let me know what standard size jacket I would wear. I am 5'11", 155lbs, and my chest measures 37 inche...

Anschutz Trigger
I just recently picked up a Anschutz 54 Match rifle dated 1973. Since the rifle is a match rifle and not the super match, the trigger will not go below 1lb. Being an older rifle can I update the trigger to one of the match two stage triggers that go down into the ounces.

Thanks for all the help!!! I do have a few more questions though, my rifle and sights are made in America but my glove and sling are not. Can I still shoot this configuration or do I need to find a different glove and sling? If I need a new sling and glove where would I find one that is made in Amer...

Im thinking about competing in the the Prone and Made in America Match up at Camp Perry this year. This would be my first year competing and I am a little confused on how to sign up. Does anyone know how one goes by signing up for the NRA nationals up at Camp Perry?

Anschutz
I do not know much about these rifles, as I am still in the process of learning about mine. But I picked one up for about $1500.00 at the last Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show. If you look among these threads look for the one entitled Anschutz 1813, you can read what was said about mine. http://i259.pho...
