We have the Walthers, Pardinis, and FAS RF pistols. Trying to decide what to do with them.
I like what Sandy did.

Convert Walther OSP to GSP?
We have some fine Walther OSPs in our "club", and were thinking of selling them off due to the new ISSF rule changes to standard pistol in rapid fire. We wonder if the OSP can basically be converted to the GSP. The GSP magazine seems to fit. Can the barrel be removed and replaced with one ...

CK and flax oil
You could always look in to Conductive Keratoplasty (CK). Approved by FDA for patients with Presbyopia and who have a difficult time functioning without their reading glasses. Candidates are over 40 with between +.75 and +2.5 diopters of correction. If you have the procedure, let us know how it goes...

Mystery Grip
I have a grip with CM brand, buried under lots of putty. I'm not sure what it would fit. Assume it's AP. Held to frame with two screws thru frame. Inside of grip has rectangle of wood, as if it fits in a frame recess. Front is open.
Anyone recognize it, and can dried putty be removed?

focus exercises
Computers really bother me. I use an adjustable Iris on my shooting glasses. I tweak until my front sight is clear. It has required a lot of time adjusting the lense so that the Iris is centered, round. One benefit is that it helps me know if I'm standing in my repeatable position. After leaving wor...

Steyr Grip?
I have this grip, pictured below, and wonder what it fits. Looks like it might be for a Steyr LP1. Has a 1990 sticker on it and a 6 (size?) on the bottom. Probably a small to medium.
Other question is can hardened putty be removed?

Perhaps a Hammerli 208 or 215. More upright, less raked.

dry fire
My only issue with the Izzy is the dry fire mechanism. It doesn't give the same feel dry firing as it does charged. And we all know how important it is to dry fire daily.

Very seldom does material need to be added.
I've had some nice emails about the grips. Someone asked for a procedure on doing the grips. After reading some of the posts on this site, I realize that I tread where eagles dare. There are issues related to making a match-legal grip. And I'm fairly new at shooting so there is so much I don't know....

liquid nitrogen
OK. Perhaps I take it to the physics lab and try a little liquid nitrogen (or maybe CO2 let out of a cylinder). It would no doubt make the bondo very brittle. Question is could it be applied without hurting the wood. I might as well grind it down if I'm going to be adding butt paste. But, I'd like t...

There have been some posts on Izzy grips lately. I bought my IZH46M last november. Loved it but hoped to be able to shoot better and reduce elbow pain via anatomical grip. I used my Benelli .22 Rink grip as a pattern and pressed the pattern tool in to it (looks like harmonica with wires out the side...

removing bondo from grip
I have a nice Steyr grip that has been slathered in bondo and filed to fit an early youth hand. It isn't adjustable as the bondo fills the gap between hand rest and grip.
Are there known methods to remove cured bondo without hurting the wood or needing to grind?

I did test them
I pressurized the cylinders last night to what's in my scuba tank, some 165 Bar. Put them in water for 1/2 hour and saw no indication of leaks. Let them sit overnight dry. Plunged them again and saw no bubbles. Manometer on the one which has it still showed the same position of night before. I put t...

safe to submerge cylinders?
How do you verify cylinders? Especially if you don't have guns to try them on? Can you submerge them in water to see if they emit bubbles? I don't have a gauge to measure pressure. So, if submersion is safe or undamaging, I'd initially do so. In the absence of leaks, I'd pressurize them from my scub...
