another option....

Here is a thought: what if a person who picks me up in Newark airport is a NJ resident who holds NJ firearm license, and will handle the case with the rifle all the way to the car and the final destination place in NJ? I won't even touch the case, i.e. won't take possession of it until I arrive at m...

Re: thank you

Thank bdutton you for your reply, You just described the procedure that usually takes place and I have done that before. But as I understand, NJ is a very special case. I don't think you are even allowed an air rifle in Newark, so how am I suppose to exit the airport without break a number of local...

Flying to NJ with an air rifle

What about flying into NJ with one of our "7.5 joules" air rifles? I understand that under the NJ laws, any air gun is considered a firearm. But I also understand that there is a distinction between long arms and handguns. So, what will happen if I land in Newark airport with a case that c...

I don't think so....he was just told that he can no longer do it, although he did it for the few competitions at the national level (again, not in US)

rifle and pistol

Thank you conradin for the historical reference. So, it is not against ISSF rules to shoot both rifle and pistol at the same competition? The reason why I am asking, a friend of mine (not from US) was denied a chance to shoot in two different disciplines (RT and AP) at the national championship. He ...

ISSF eligibility

Hi all, I have a hypothetical: can an athlete be eligible to compete in different shooting disciplines at the same ISSF match? For example, can one shoot 50m prone at 50m pistol (if there are no time conflicts) at the same competition (provided that the athlete qualified for the national team, etc. ...

I know it is a bit outside of the price range, but it is, in my opinion, the best option for what you have described. And it should work for the kid for many years....

First of all I would like to say that this entire conversation is rather silly.Second of all, since when does sergey use
the most modern equipment? Last time I checked he's using 20 year old unmodified rifle with stock sights, old Russian sling, old mouche jacket,etc.... It works for him.

CHERVYAKOVSKIY Marchguns MGH1

After reviewing youtube video and the pictures, I couldn't see the situation with a safety flag and MGH1 used by Sergey. Did anyone notice that? There was a discussion here a while back how it is impossible to insert a safety flag into that pistol.... Clearly there was some sort of resolution.
