LP10 Grip
Hi Wessman, No experience with large grips, but I replaced the original medium Morini grip on my LP10 with a medium Rink. The Rink grip fits my hand much better than the Morini grip, but I would not say that it is any larger. I opted for the 7 degree offset (to compensate for reduced range-of-motion...

SoCal Ten-Meter Shooting
Hi Teresa, I live in Tucson, but keep a boat in San Diego and have a sister in Los Angeles, so I get to California frequently. Because I have to drive 240 miles round trip (to Phoenix) to shoot in my home state anyway, a periodic trip to Southern California for a match would be great. Depending on w...

USAS Rankings Page
If you look more closely, you will see that these rankings are dated from April of 2009, the last report before USA Shooting changed the format three years ago. So, of course, they will not include anything even remotely recent. I'm looking forward to whatever the new format will be, but it may take...

10-Meter Range
Arizona weather usually allows for outdoors training, although today at 107 degrees was pretty uncomfortable. I have ten meters on the shady north side of my house and can train year-round. The only way to have ten meters indoors is to shoot over the dining room table, through the kitchen, over the ...

5-Meter Target
SB OK I thought that the 5m was simply a 50% scaled reduction. Glad to see that they accounted for the pellet size. Is the BLACK bull the 7 ring, or is that 50% of the 10m target? The bull should be scaled w/o adjustment for pellet size since that is a purely visual aiming point. The black is, as i...

5-meter Target
@SeaBlue As mentioned, the reason you are scoring higher is likely the fact that while the 5m target is 50% of the regulation target, the pellet is still the same size. So the pellet will cut a hole 2x as big as it should in the reduced range target, and what would have been a near miss will score ...

5 Meter Targets
I was able to order correctly-scaled five-meter targets from Nikkonos in Quebec via eBay (right half of the attached image). Nikkonos was great to deal with, and the targets were quite inexpensive. The paper quality is nothing like Edelmann or Kruger, but the targets worked fine. For me, shooting at...

USA Ten-Meter Air Pistol Coach Recommendations
I am a new ten-meter air pistol shooter, but am enjoying practicing daily. I want to see how far I can develop my skills. As a new shooter, I haven't engrained poor habits yet, and I want to ensure that I learn the right way from the start. I live in Tucson, AZ, and am looking for a coach to get me ...

Fencer's Stance
JackH How well does that fencer's stance work for you? I am fairly new to air pistol, but fenced competitively from 1975 until 1989, as well as coaching and teaching for many of those years. A fencer's stance would be second nature for me, although I'd probably struggle not to keep the back hand ele...

Ten-Meter Range
This may seem like an odd question, but I have gotten conflicting information. I am setting up a ten-meter air pistol range in my back yard. Is the distance ten meters from the face of the target to ... a. the muzzle of the pistol? b. the toe of the shooter? c. or to something else? I'd like to prac...
