Re: New type cylinder Pardini k12 ?

Yes, it is. The reason is that sometimes it was very difficult to unscrew the old cylinder. Now, with the new one, you can also use tools.

K12. I've seen new cylinders, they are already are out, easier to unscrew. Same weight. Also the trigger mechanism - as far as I know - had some refinement. The point of contact between trigger lever and second lever is much more clean (little iron ball is there).

Erratum. Gérard Crolleau and not Gérard Grolleau. But 'Grolleau' is the name of the pistol.

BTW, somebody pointed out to me the first electronic (rectius: electro-mechanical) FP. It was the French pistol 'Grolleau' (Gérard Grolleau)

As for the Portuguese free pistol I've read a test (many years ago, possibly in the '90s) on the french magazine "les cahiers du pistolier et du carabinier". That pistol (named 'Nerol' as far as I remember) had a rotating percussion and (maybe) a rotating trigger tongue action. The problem...

Remember that the carbon foresight mount is glued on the barrel. So it is possible it comes off.

book [Hämmerli - Pistolen und Revolver]

Book Tip: "Hämmerli pistols and revolvers" Just in time for the 150th anniversary of the famous weapon company Hämmerli this year the Swiss author Niklaus U. Schweinfurth brought together all available information on the short arms of the former Swiss company. Because unfortunately were de...

Re: Shooting with No front sight, All trigger

Could you shoot just as well without the front sight? Just concentrate on a smooth trigger pull? Ever done that? What does that prove? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thCl_mYIUBE (from 06.00) The video seems to show that one can shoot well with no sights and no smooth trigger pull :-) But people who...

Re: Shooting with No front sight, All trigger

Could you shoot just as well without the front sight? Just concentrate on a smooth trigger pull? Ever done that? What does that prove? I do not think it is possible to shoot "as well" without the front sight. But I tried to shoot with a front sight blurred (out of focus) while the target ...

Brilliant. Another idea would be to ... remove completely the absorber and shoot without it. The LP10, in example, is a good pistol without the absorber, my (fallacious?) impression is that it moves even less during the shot.

My K10's trigger isn't bad, but it isn't great. I spent about 6 months adjusting it in different ways trying to find a 'sweet spot' where I could forget about how it feels, but I began to doubt sometime during the late winter that such a spot exists for the K10. Perfect. Same experience here. But t...

Sometimes I tried air pistols with semi-roll triggers, I mean first stage > 450 grams, second stage < 70 grams, uninterrupted trigger action (trigger pull) from first stage to second stage. My LP10 is from the 2011 vintage, so it's trigger is the one below. The only way I see possible is to reduce the first stage travel to zero and add more sear engagement. But then I would end up with lots of creep in the trigger, and not a smooth release. Or if I didn't add sear engagement, I would ...

Re: Rolling trigger on a LP10

Is it possible to set up a LP10 (mechanical) to a rolling trigger? How? One of the Lp10 I have, the 'gold edition' of (?) 2002, now has a rolling trigger, I only played with the first stage travel adjustment screw (turning anticlockwise) and the sear adjustment screw (turning anticlockwise, but not...

There are experiments showing that pistol shooters make good shots when not having maximal visual attention (i.e. on where the pistol was aimed). The suppression of visual attention during the final seconds of the pre-shot period is a necessary prerequisite for automatic shot execution. Int. J. Psyc...

Re: Folding front sight for Sport and C/F

Does anyone have any experience of using a folding front sight (klappkorn in German) for adjusting the sighting between precision and duelling stages in Sport Pistol or Centrefire? The concept strikes me as very sensible as it appears one can change from sub-six area aim to point of aim very simply...
