Pistols in motel room?
Guns stay with me if possible. If I am in the room, guns are in the room. If in car, guns in car. However, on occasion the guns do stay in the room I do the following: Make them invisible as much as possible, including ammo and other signs of guns. Leave TV or radio on fairly loud, leave light on, a...

ZERO
Jim Collins who represents Zero Bullets does some of their machine rest testing. He brought some pretty impressive groups to Camp Perry which were shot with their bullets. Jim has been there and done that. He is the first person to shoot 1500 points out of a possible 1500 in PPC with a revolver. He...

Red Dot scopes
+1 On the 30mm Ultradot scopes or the Ultradot 4 DOT or Ultradot Match DOT versions. Reasonably priced, Life Time warranty and long battery life.wlambert wrote:I use a 30mm UltraDot on all my Bullseye guns. UltraDot seems to be the most popular and is a good value for the money.

K vs L frame
The weakest link in the K vs L frame is the barrel. This is well experienced by dozens if not hundreds of examples of real situations of heavy users of higher pressure accurate loads as are needed for NRA Action Pistol. Here is the deal straight and simple. The K frame guns all have a flat spot cut ...

K vs L frame
Either are a good choice for what you state. It is a matter only of which feels better to you and the price which you acquire it. However, If you think there is a chance that you may want to later modify this gun to shoot NRA Action Pistol, then the L frame 686 is by far the better choice as it is s...

...shooting from supported position
Assuming you do not have access to a Ransom or other type of shooting "rest" then you may try this. Get a very firm pillow, or roll of some thing to support the gun just in front of the trigger. A bag of shotgun shot works pretty well or an empty bag of shotgun shot filled with either sand...

Re: .32 Vs 9mm, or ...
I'm hoping to start shooting again. My new girl friend, and the owner of the SCCA CS Miata that I co-drive/race, likes shooting and wants me to take her out to the range. She has a 357 Ruger. I use to have a Les Baer Bullseye .45, a Pardini .32 and Pardini .22 I did my own loading. The .32 target r...

Re: Compatability of Marvel conversion and Accurail system?
Hi All, I have a Springfield GI 45 with a Marvel conversion and was thinking of setting it up as a ball gun as well. Does anyone know if the Marvel will work with a frame that has an Accurail system installed? Thanks, Steve. I' pretty sure that you would have to modify the Marvels slide rails for c...

cant can't not matter
.....and to add that cant does matter unless the gun is sighted in for the degree of cant at that distance. Further, the greater the distance from the line of bore to the line of sights the more the cant matters, i.e. iron sights on barrel vs a scope mounted 1.75 " above bore. Quick obvious exa...

.38 Super for BE
My background is PPC and NRA Action Pistol. I recently started shooting BE, and hope to continue it. I am amazed that not more people use a compensated .38 super (1911) for BE CF matches. These guns when set up properly will shoot <2" at 50 yards, run very reliably with 2.5lb or less trigger an...

.38 spl
.....and only to add that in my experiences, nickel cases do not last as long. They tend to crack with greater frequency than do brass cases. 158 gr LSWC or 158 gr RNL will do very well with BE, or W231 or CLAYS. CLAYS is an outstanding powder for soft lead target loads. I believe you need to run th...

.38 Super ammo
I failed to mention that yes there are some quality .38 Super factory ammo. ZERO Ammunition loads 115 gr JHPs and 125 gr JHP's for Bianchi Cup shooters. You need to ask for the Bianchi Match loads otherwise it is hotter than most want. The 115's run about 1160- 1180 fps and the 125's about 1070-1120...
