Re: Another 'Which 10M Air Pistol' - Looking for missing details
PV=nRT, people! PV=nRT. Intuitive / counter-intuitive has nothing to do with it. While I agree that there's no getting away from the ideal gas law, I couldn't find the 'V' of each cylinder. It also seems that some guns may use their gas more efficiently than others to drive pellets down-range.

Re: Another 'Which 10M Air Pistol' - Looking for missing details
The P8X cylinder filled to 200bar (2900psi) will get you around 200 shots. The gauge is nicer & seemingly more accurate than the scale on the K12 cylinders. The significant advantage of the P8X over the K12 is the adjustable grip (K12 grip is fixed) and the method of adjustment is very convenie...

Re: Another 'Which 10M Air Pistol' - Looking for missing details
It always amazes me when people get hung up on their own little dim view of the world and can't conceive of a reason to ask a simple question. But that's enough time wasted on that nonsense. Since I can fill cylinders at the 10M match, I'm wondering if I would have enough air to practice a bit witho...

Another 'Which 10M Air Pistol' - Looking for missing details
I'm looking at a couple of different pistols but there are some missing details that have been hard to hunt down. Hopefully someone here can fill in some blanks for me. The two pistols are the Feinwerkbau P8X and the Pardini K12. I can get the P8X locally and I'm leaning in that direction currently....

That's interesting to know. The purpose-built gun I tried felt like it had a striker fired system. The trigger felt like I was pulling against a rubber band -very odd, but maybe not typical? I actually like the trigger on the Browning. If the sights are an improvement, it seems odd that most of the ...

Specific advantages of purpose built pistols?
Are there any specific advantages of a purpose built bullseye .22 vs. something like my existing Browning Buckmark 5.5 target? The reason I ask is, that I'd like to upgrade at least my grips at this point. The mouse pointer is hovering over the Karl Nill site. I tried a "real" bullseye .22...

I've got a few air pistols. One is a Daisy 717. That one is probably good for that kind of practice. Ergonomics was the reason I started thinking about a different pistol than the Buckmark. The grips I have on it are wood finger groove type from browning. Even though I have pretty big hands the grip...

Well, that's always the plan! :) The Browning is just a pistol I've had for about 12 or so years. I bought it as an accurate plinker. I actually put the red dot on to make sighting easier for my wife so she would concentrate more on trigger pull. The pistol is definitely accurate, but I just keep wo...

How much better?
I just found this place after shooting my first five weeks in a sort of informal NRA Bullseye league. We only shoot .22's at 25 yards, 60 shots total, so 600 points possible. I've been shooting a long time but not this particular discipline. I've improved steadily to where I just broke into the 500'...
