Bring-me-backs
It seems to me that almost every round I played, I would hit one perfect shot -the ball would do exactly what I had planned. (Realize that that was out of 110+ shots that it took me to play a round.) I used to call that a "Bring-me-back," because it felt so good and I wanted to do it again...

And if you don't know how to shoot tens?
I would title this whole thread "Think Positive Always! - revisited" since we have hashed it over many times. I subscribe to the adage that "90% of successful shooting is mental - the rest is in your head" so I agree with trying to focus on the things that go right. The one criti...

Age limit?
I am struck by the age limits used to determine eligibility for these games, and what it says about the target audience. When Kobe Bryant is eligible for the basketball team, and Tiger Woods will be eligible for the Golf team year after next, and (more to the point of this forum) the shooting age li...

Thanks,
Alan

Equipment needs?
As I read it, there are two different competitions - One is fired on the standard air pistol target, thus no additional target equipment. The other has the five falling targets. It also appears that the falling targets have a 59mm black and a 30 mm hole. Making the assumption that you have to "...

dedicated shooting glasses
I agree with Spencer and David - a dedicated pair of shooting glasses with the exact perscription for the distance from your eye to the front sight will help alot. See this series of articles for relevant material:

I third the report - I've blamed it on lack of experience/self awareness. I go from tight group on one target to loose group on the next, which I blame on concentration (lack thereof.) But I usually have no explanation for tight groups where the center of the group moves around the nine ring, seemin...

Just a bump - do not yet have a solution, but I suspect that it is related to my computer running 64-bit vista - My workaround is to drag out an old computer that runs windows 98 - it works for now but......

re: Rika on Vista
I tried this technique, and cannot get the RIKA software to install on my new vista equipped computer. This machine is 64-bit, and tells me the software is not compatible, even when I try compatibility mode. I know this is not a computer forum, but if anyone has solved this I would be grateful for a...

I have a 250 that I bought new in 1968. I'm just now trying to get it shooting again. The breech seal is the same gummy beeswax, and I can probably make one out of nylon if I can get some and figure out how thick to make it. I don't know about the internal seals. How many are there and are there dif...
