It's real quick and you won't wear out your file Another thing to check is the width of the magazine lips at the front. If you have 2 mags , measure them to see if the distance ...

Your almost there, looking at an enlargment of your photo shows a modest roll crimp . All you have to do is seat the bullet flush. Just push the round against your work bench and it will likely seat further quite easily. then you are good to go with the slight roll in the case rim. Its the lead that...

Strange that the Lapua web site has pictures clearly showing the edge of the bullet flush with the end of the case. You are right about the Lapua.........I checked my 32 samples with the deep seated lead as declared and they are Fiocchi ( head stamped GFL ) and not Lapua . sorry my error and yes th...

I pattern my reloads after factory Lapua wadcutters without problems although they aren't shot from an sp20 Lapua seats the bullet very deep in the case ,the button of the bullet is 0.70 mm below the case rim and the case rim is heavily roll crimped to a diameter at the mouth to 8.21 mm . Lapua fact...

Immediatlely after the shot is fired the sledge will recoil/move fully to the rear ,then if you tilt the pistol toward the ground the sledge will slide forward fully and lock. At that point the sledge will not move forward or backward, the sledge is locked. When you fire again, the trigger trips the...

I just replaced my broken mainspring and seals etc this week and I have previously replaced the seals and piston ring about 10 years ago as well. For the most part the 300 is similar if not the same as a 65. Leave your email address and i will contact you with the O/H procedures that were passed on ...

He may be the man for the job but that depends on a) his coaching xperience and b) without sounding funny, how long he can cope with doing the job. I personally would be looking for someone younger who can develope the team over the next 10 years or so. At 76 he's unlikely to be able to do that. It...

Shooting a single shot with a free pistol for most serious shooters usually is quite time consuming , sighters, a couple hour match, then the shootoff at the end of the match can take it's toll in maintaining shooting discipline . The shooter with the loosey goosey grip will have the obvious advanta...

Free pistol grips permit minimal to no gripping force if desired. In choosing this method , the trigger finger can be moved easily without sympathic movement of the remaining fingers of the shooting hand. When satisfactory sight alignment is achieved along with stability of the pistol, then the trig...
