Confirmation of Erich's Dismissal
I just talked with the folks at USA Shooting and yes, in fact, Erich's has left the organization. As expressed to me that there has been a desire to take the Pistol Program in another direction and Erich could or did not feel he could view these changes with an open mind. Thus, there was a "par...

Ammo For Your Walther
Hi, Even though I'm a pistol shooter, I have used both Wolfe and SK Ammo. I found out that Wolf is manufactured by SK. As such I would think that you will find the same performance from SK's rifle match ammo as you do from the Wolfe match ammo. I believe both Pilkington and Champion's choice have SK...

CO2 or Air
CO2 and CA are good. The only thing that I have found with respects to shootimg a CO2 gun is that you need to keep the cylinders at a consistant cooler temperature. But if there is a change in temperature and they get warm, the number of shot per cylinder declines substantially. Also to get the grea...

Hand Pump For Air Gun
Hi, Any of the current crops of air pumps are good. The Hill is a very good one as well as the one sold by Scott and Warren (Pilkington). By the way since I have gone to using a compressor to fill my cylinders, I would be willing to sell my Hill pump at a very reasonablbe price. If interested, pleas...

Morini 84e Battery Changes
David is correct. Morini has not changed the battery in the 84e. Both I and one of the guys I shoot with both got 84e free pistols within the last two months and they use the 15v battery. it should be noted that a couple of years ago Morini did change the battery configuration in their air gun (162E...

Ejection Problems with the CM84e
Hi, Like you, I just got my 84e. I have used SK Pistol Match, Match 50, Eley Tenex, Match, Pistol Match and Pistol Standard with little or no ejection problems. One thing I did find is that you really need to do is to keep the breach mechanism really clean. Taking a cotton swab with just a touch of ...

Making Modifications to Your Grips
Hi Colin, As I had said when we met. Properly fitted grips is one of the most important thing that you can do. But the since you are new to the game, messing around with your grips will end up being very frustrating and not very satisfying. If I might suggest, I would contact a gentleman by the name...

Height of the 10m Air Pistol Target
Hi Colin,
It was a pleasure meeting you and your son last Friday.
To anwser your question. The proper height for the 10 meter target is, as Dave indicated is 1.4 meters or approximately 55 inches.
As always, keep'em all in the 10 ring,
Ian

How o hold aFree Pistol
Robert, I don't know what you are afraid of with respect to injuries but before I worry about whether to hold the grip tightly or loosely, I would recommend that you get your grip fitted properly. This will then dictate how you will to hold the grip. As most of us know that if you get the grip done ...

Servicing a Steyr LP1P
I think that the best source for servicing your Steyr Aipgun would be to talk with Scott or Warren at Pilkington (one of this web sites sponsors). They are an authorized dealer and repair "center" for Steyr so I would say they would be your best bet. As always, keep'em all in the 10 ring, ...

Yup, your right. It's Sparky's gun and it will still be Sparky's gun after its all over and done with this and his other postings. As for the shooting frateraty. That's right, no hats, T-shirts or any of that other stuff. If you shoot competitively you just become part of it. I think you need to exp...

Sparky's TOZ35M
Michael, I think Sparky figures that the TOZ35 you used in the Olympic and as a member of the US National Team has some additional market value. As you know, that's not the way it works in the shooting fraternaty. You sell stuff at a fair price to someone so that he can use it to compete and enjoy t...

Morini Sight Settings
Greg, No need to confirm it. If you must, a good source would be the TenP File on the Pilkington's Web site. But I would think that if you received this information directly from Morini then I would considere it "straight from the house's mouth" and I would go with it. They should know how...

Rink Grops
Mark, I am currently using Rink Grips on my TOZ35 and am very impressed with the workmanship used to produce the grip. There are several key difference that makes the Rink grip more attractive for those of us that have large hands. The Rink grip has several adjustments that allow you to alter the po...
