Put it on Gunbroker, no reserve, $1 starting bid. In 7 days you will have your answer and a buyer. This. You should be able to get at least $1250 out of your gun, and possibly quite a bit more given the low serial number and condition. If you are afraid of listing at $1, you can always set a reserv...

Gunbroker.com and Gunauction.com both occasionally have good rifles that come up for sale. You just have to keep your eyes on them.

Given the low profile that most of the clubs/ranges keep, how do you even go about finding out if any of the schools in your area have ranges or programs? I'm in the Dallas area and when I moved here several years ago, this was something I tried to research. I didn't have much success and eventually...

Charlotte, There are a number of good smallbore gunsmiths out there. You should try giving one or more a call. Jeff Madison and Kevin Nevius are names that come to mind. I don't have their contact info immediately at hand, but google will probably get you there. I'm sure others on here can also prov...

If the 2013 stock you have is the wood version, the Anschutz adpater won't work to begin with. It was designed for the AL version stocks.

The 1813 also differs in the way the front sight attaches. It has a sight block attached to the barrel while the 1913 has an integral dovetail.

As for price, if you watch the buy/sell here or the gun auction sites like gunbroker, you can probably get a 1913 for several hundred less.

I tend to agree with Pat's comment. Prohibiting the coat, etc. would significantly lower the costs for the average shooter, which is not a bad thing.

Anyone tried the Jeff Madison stock?

Shown here:

Or has anyone tried the Ross stock?

Shown here:

I'd be interested to see if anyone has and how these compare to any of the others mentioned above.

For the Anschutz, you can also see about getting a dry-fire firing pin that is shorter than the standard firing pin so that it doesn't make contact with the breach face. I've got a 19XX series gun, and it is very easy to swap out the firing pins.

Looks good - very promising. I'm definitely interested for junior shooters if the cost can be kept down. Does the 40x receiver have to be epoxied into the tube or is it connected in some other fashion? I'm guessing you don't need epoxy as there aren't the recoil issues that you have with highpower t...

Bolt for an 1813 action - where to find one

Where can I get a bolt for an 1813 action and will a 1913 bolt work?

Thanks.
