I was talking to my sister on the phone and heard the Olympic closing ceremonies in the background. I told her I didn't watch the Olympics because I couldn't watch the shooting events. She said she didn't know there were any shooting events at the Olympics.

When I was training for position rifle shooting at the local indoor range, many times the local bullseye pistol league also trained. They never had a problem with me there; however, I couldn't practice when they were shooting .45s. The far left point had the lighting wires running down the top of th...

Cutest thing I ever saw was a mother skunk and her litter of little ones following behind her across the range as I was shooting smallbore rifle.

It might be a good idea in practice, however, if you ever shoot finals, it may scare you to death!!

Hi Gilad,
Nice looking pistol!
They are not very common. I am looking to purchase one just because it is so unusual in appearance.
Here is some info on Pilkguns site:

Have fun shooting it!

I've never heard of anyone shooting between heart beats with a pistol. I used to do it with my smallbore rifle with 20x scope where I could actually see the crosshairs moving. Rifle shooters pick up heart beat from the sling and can build a tolerance to the sling to transmit less. If you can see the...

I get a haze and a double image at times with my contact lenses. I have to do a lot of blinking at times and not hold too long at other times. Then there are times I need to wait until my vision to clears while watching my rock solid hold. Come to think of it, after that is when my eyes seem to real...

Jim . . . . . About the scoring. . . . . . - BUT the problem is the pellet diameter does not scale. So you are punching the same size hole in a target with smaller rings. So you would get a higher score than you would on a 10m target at 10m. . . . . Very good, Gary! I never thought of that when I c...

Steve,
I have a local machinist making a rear sight for my Unique now. He said it wasn't a big deal. I would think a local guy could knock one out for your pistol.
Good luck!

I read posts that supported the sport.
It's good to compare other hobbies and have open discussions.

I've noticed most sports are promoting the reporters as part of the sport. The antics of the commentators are included the highlights.
It's sad that most of them believe they are "part of the action".

I will add my free advice based on common errors I observed while teaching junior shooters the NRA basic rifle marksmanship course. T...

All we've done is complain about TV companies.

So, does anyone know how/where to watch the olympic shooting online?
