Nice topic,

I had the chance to hold one but not to shoot it.
The good thing I've noticed is that you can adjust the stock without allen keys. The bolt was a little bit harder to operate compared to FWB.

For the moment I have not seen one shooting around the south swiss clubs

I would say every three years but only for o-rings replacement.
All the other maintenance can be done by yourself

It's the price of match .22 lr that is crazy! I really can not understand such increase.
Considering the price of my feinwerkbau, accessories and ammo it is clear why I keep them in a lock, they are a capital!

Richard made the point, get the mec frame with three lens holder.
I've set up all three of them for different positions (standing, prone, kneeling) and it take 1 minute to remove the lens from one and to install it on another.
For pistol shooting I use my regular glasses

Last year I got a Steyr CISM rifle brand new for 2000$. They are not in production anymore but if you can find one it's a great deal. Other rifles used in Switzerland for 300 mt are way too expensive (Tanner, Grunig Helmiger, etc) but you can get them in different calibers. Here we just use the 7.5x...

Thanks a lot for your replies, That's right converting a 550 in .22 is not only practical but impossible because unlike the AR there are no conversion kits. I already considered the 522 but haven't seen one over here yet plus it does not come with iron sights (that are sold separately I believe). I ...

.223 rem to .22 lr conversion

Hi everyone, I have a sig 550 rifle that I use to shoot at 300 mt in Switzerland but, considering that noise has became a troble also over here, there are only few times where I can train at full range. I was considering of converting the .223 rem into a .22 lr to shoot at 50 mt. I've checked on the...

I shot with ghemann pant for over two years and my conclusion is that are very fine for the money but if you are tall (I'm 185 cm, around 6,5 feet tall) and you shoot kneeling you may find the patch on your bottom a little low. This cause the shoes to rest against your popo' directly causing pain Re...

hi,

over here (Switzerland) FWB is becoming quite popular due to quality/price ratio.
I owned a 2700 and I just sold it because it is quite nose heavy for me for standing shooting. A part from that it is a great rifle, now I'm purchasing the new 2700 light version which is almost a kg lighter

The best is to contact an eye doctor that is in the target shooting business. Anyway, when I started shooting I did not have enough money to invest in all the equipment therefore I used my regular glasses. In order to have the lens focus centered to the iris aperture, I "hanged up" the gla...

I don't think is feasible, the best would be to have your eyes examined. You can't imagine how much a small correction affects the sight picture, especially at 50 mt. As a cheap experiment I suggest you to wear contact lenses, at least to try the feeling. Problem with contact lenses is that they mov...

I'm a beginner like you and honestly it is not easy to provide an answer to your question. Nowadays all the rifles are good but the major differences are the stocks and how they suit your body. Personally I choose Feinwerkbau for both air and small bore. FWB air rifle (Alu700) is considered one of t...

I recently purchased the MEC book "air rifle shooting" and from what I can say it contains a lot of tips about the Scatt results analysis. Probably as you said it is worth its price but nobody will complain if they lower it of 2/300 $ in order to make it a bit more affordable for everyone....

Hello, Thanks a lot for your replies. Yes, I am a relatively young shooter (30 ys old) and I'm shortsighted but I don't need any additional lens for up close work. At the moment I don't use contact lenses but I wear them in the past (10 years ago) never while target shooting. The idea of having cont...

Contact lenses for target shooting

Hello, As many of you I need to wear shooting glasses during the sessions. The problem is that I really don't feel comfortable with the actual frames not considering that every time I change position I need to set-up the lens as well. Since I don't like to purchase an additional lens, I was consider...

Hello rutty, Scuba tank is the best solution since you get dry air out of it and you don't have to pump every other day to fill your CA. But as you said it is the best solution for clubs. As individual I would have some trouble in stocking the tank somewhere in my house, not to mention my wife's dis...

If indeed a hand pump can do the job which specifically would you recommend? Any pump will just work fine, as far as I know all of them are produced by the same manufacturer and commercialized with different names If a hand pump can be used just how much trouble is involved? Moisture, but it can be...

I've been using the FWB 700 for a while and here are my considerations: - It looks cool, but it doesn't really matter at the end - It has a lot of adjustable settings, probably too many and beginner can be mislead if not closely followed by a good trainer - The price is more reasonable compared to t...
