Some mail order outfit is selling Gamo Compacts for $150 right now; It's much easier to shoot than any non-FWB springer. Trigger is a little mushy IIRC. The IZH is head and shoulders above ANY of these more affordable guns. They're 95% or more of guns costing 3-4X as much. But 3-5X better than ANYTH...

I guess I'm not smart enough to understand how overfilling the TANK could be a problem. The pressure in the smaller tank is still dictated by the temperature. If it safely holds 900psi at 85 degrees or whatever, it shouldn't matter whether the tank is half full or has nearly all liquid, the pressure...

Never laid eyes on one, but the entry guns from Walther have, I believe reversible bolts , the LG30, and the Walther produced Hammerli AR20 claims to be ambi. Sights could bear upgrading, but the list price is under $900. I believe FWB has an ambi or LH convertible entry level gun for about $1250, l...

Super, my impression of Standard pistols is that on average, the grip angle tends to be more 1911 like than free/air pistols, which is where most of my limited experience lies. I don't shoot SP. On average, I feel like APs and FPs have that droopy broken wrist thing going on, along with the set trig...
