Re: Ballistic rubber trap
I have been using the cardboard box filled with rags for years and have found nothing as easily made up or inexpensive to use since.

Re: Oiling Top Round in Semi-Auto Magazines?
I can’t remember how my Benelli buffer was installed but my FAS 602 and 607 had the metal backing with two tabs that through its design was prone to failure. I sourced an almost identical material and made a new buffer that was a better fit and then cleaned all parts with acetone and applied contact...

Re: Walther SSP-E or Pardini SP
The dry fire function and the electronic trigger are both excellent on the SSPE.
The balance, pointability and adjustability are also second to none ....not to mention it’s good looks.
I have also owned the M version and liked it very much...but loved the E.

Re: Walther SSP-E or Pardini SP
I have owned both the SSP E and Pardini SP RF which I still have. My findings may be different to others but I fell head over heels with the SSP E and loved every thing about it except for one thing.....I could not group or score well with it. I have no explanation for this but I score better with t...

The last one I saw for sale on used guns in Australia was asking $150 AUD.....Maybe $100 USD.

Re: Buncha air pistols
The AP20 is probably the best starting point by far... and all things considered is from a different universe by comparison to the 6004. If you want to deter rather than encourage new shooters then have them buy pistols that from the factory tear holes in targets and require post purchase modificati...

Re: Benelli mp90s Rear Sight Plate
The soldering iron trick is almost essential when something like loctite has been used however I have found that it also provides great benefits when loosening a fastener that has not had a thread locking substance used. The argument regarding expansion works in theory but in reality has not proved ...

Take an electric soldering iron and shape an end into a point then place point into the space in the Allen headed fastener and hold there for 5 minutes.

With a problem pistol I owned some years back I wiped the wax from the projectiles and then wiped on some liquid Alox.....problem solved.
However the real problem was solved when I got rid of the pistol.

Re: New Manurhin MR73 Match shipment arrives in Oz.
To be honest I find it hard to believe that the Match and Sport will be the same price. As I had mentioned earlier I had been reliably told that the new Importer/distributors were Beretta Australia. The same source said that the new pricing was to be higher than offered by Euroarms in Adelaide which...

Re: New Manurhin MR73 Match shipment arrives in Oz.
No ISSF shooter would buy the Sport. Did Beretta give you a rrp on the MR73 Match ?
The last price was around $4300 AUD.

Re: What is the one thing I should work on to get a more steady hand ?
The best remedy may be to stop thinking about movement and withdraw into the world of technical execution where 10’s live. Often being aware of, and thinking about what appears to be a problem simply makes it worse. At the end of the day scoring well is no more difficult than aligning the sights and...

Re: Trigger Shoe-Hammerli 208/International
I have seen optional triggers for Hammerli 280 and SP20 but never for 208/215/208s 215s. I remember asking Larry Carter some years back and was given the same answer. Jim Henderson will probably not reply once he finds out you are from Australia. I emailed him and he emailed me back asking what I ne...

Re: New Manurhin MR73 Match shipment arrives in Oz.
I have been told that the previous Oz importer/distributor is no longer holding that position for whatever reasons and the new I/D is Beretta Australia.
Good luck finding a good used one !....or even finding one at all.Shall have to keep an eye out for a decent MR73 in the used market ........
