I recently ordered some pellets. After 10 days I emailed them to see about the status of my order and received the following: Normally, we average receiving 2,000 - 3,000 orders per month and ship an order in 2-3 weeks. However, these are not normal times. Between 15 Oct and 23 Dec, we received over...

I tried the National Target ones and hated them. They never gave clean holes. The dealer in the link is VERY nice and when I enquired about the various targets he was kind enough to send me samples of each so I could make an informed decision for myself. I wound up getting the practice targets at $5...

I too was experiencing difficulty getting a sharp sight picture. I experimented with apertures and lenses and nothing really helped. Then this thread gave me an idea... My daughter gave me a nice LL Bean cap for Xmas. It has 2 bright LEDs in the brim that I can turn on and they point aproximately wh...

I see. So for the trainers like RIKA and Scatt, when used with live fire, are they as accurate as the dedicated scoring units? I'm guessing that the dedicated scoring units are more expensive due to the sensors and S/W as well as being designed to have multiple units and collect scores from each one...

I just went through this. If your tank does not have the DIN connector on it, then it probably needs a Yoke to Din Connector. I tried buying one on ebay, but they acturally wound up selling for more than you can buy one for. I fnally wound up buying the adapter from Leisurepro.com: http://www.leisur...

I posted the exact topic a few months ago. SInce then I was able to get some targets to check from Nikkonos Olympic Marksman equipment on ebay. I tried both the match quality and the practice quality. I have to say the practice quality targets are great and affordable. I have a bunch of National Tar...

NPA
I've been shooting AR since xmas and have been reading a lot. I am a little confused on attaining the NPA. I get the concept, but the mechanics elude me. It seems that the changes necessary to modify the point of hold are so small and can be done so many ways, I'm not sure where to begin. Just a sma...

Scuba Tank Adapter
I just bought an FWB P34 and I found a reasonable scuba tank at my local dive shop. The problem is that I must need some kind of adapter on the tank to put the cylinder adapter on. Can someone point me where to get such an adapter. PS - I don't see any screw thread type things on the tank. Thanks - ...

The verdict is in - it is definitely the targets. As I was cleaning out the basement htis weekend I ran across a box with some AP targets I had from the early 90s. No special storage - just sitting in a box with some other junk. There were about a dozen so I just tossed them in the pile with my new ...

Nick - get youself a headset for your computer and you can make cheap calls using skype. Calls to any continental USA number are only .059 reals per minute. If you call 800 numbers they are free. I use it all the time when I travel internationally. The quality of the calls is quite good. I bought a ...

Thanks for all the suggestions.... The Edelman targets are 2x the price of the Nationals, so I'll try the other solutions first. I can increase my velocity so I'll try that first and see if it affects my groups. I already use a cardboard backer, but I shoot the backer out pretty quick. I'll try the ...

Tearing Shot Holes
I just started shooting AP again - my last regular shooting was back in the early 90s. I picked up a Pardini K60 and I am really enjoying shooting it. One odd thing is that I seem to get a lot of tears in the paper rather than clean holes. I don't remember this happening when I shot my FWB 65. I'm s...

When I did my hunter training many years ago, the instructor was on the outdoor range talking about safety while setting up a watermelon. He set it on the ground and while still chatting with us explaining that the human body was 90% water, much like a watermelon he loaded a round and without explai...
