Re: Free Pistol....POA ...6 o'clock...sub 6 ...or area hold

Not sure what you mean Rover...anyway, using sub holds do nothing but trick you into thinking you are not looking at the target; however, shooters tend to check in on the target to make sure they are the proper distance below. Center hold is easy, as long as your sights are on a black background, yo...

Re: singing in your head makes better shooting?

Gwhite. I would be skeptical that this was done entirely on auto pilot. If you have been trying to recreate it for 40 years, I would venture to say it was a lucky string. No offense.

Re: singing in your head makes better shooting?

There needs to be focus on the front sight. Too many people think the subconscious does everything. That is wrong. There are many aspects of shooting that happen because of repetition and do ultimately happen subconsciously. Focus is not one of them. Shooting is not automatic. It requires work and t...

Re: singing in your head makes better shooting?

I think focusing on your front sight and trigger control will do you better.

Junior clubs in Denver

I am looking to try my hand at coaching junior shooters, mostly pistol, in the Denver area. Does anyone know of any clubs?

Thanks,

Tuf fill

I am also a fan of Tuf fill. One thing to keep in mind with epoxies is weight. Some of these easier to use epoxies are heavy when they cure and this is somewhat undesirable.

Yes

Most of the upkeep you can do yourself with cleaning supplies and a low pressure air supply (canned air or compressor). Having Scotty or someone else go through it occasionally is not a bad idea, especially on older pistols. Seals are a big thing to look at. Unless you chronograph your pistol, you c...

I doubt...

25 m/s had much effect on accuracy and hardly enough to be noticed when shooting.

Ask Scott...

But I dry fired my pistol a lot during training and never had a problem. Maybe I got lucky, but I do not think there is a problem with dry firing a pistol. Does adding a pellet to the chamber really make a mechanical difference?

Sight...

I actually upgraded to the larger front sight. The thought process was, the larger the front sight, the easier it was to focus on. That theory worked for me...

Read my post...

I was making a point that electronic triggers are not the end-all be-all that some people think they are. If you like the feel of it, fine, use it. I am trying to inform shooters that an electronic trigger will not make them shoot better. As I stated, if they truly did make you shoot better, there w...

Good lord...

Of course the pistol will have a slight movement. To the rear. The equations validate that argument. However, I still believe an AP does not move as much as people think. AN AIR PISTOL BEING FIRED, WILL NOT DISRUPT THE SIGHTS...provided it is not a spring action type ; ) I have made this argument be...
