Inward/outward Scoring

Hi jr_roosa & Dogchaser Inward simply means that if you break a ring closer to the bull you score the higher value and outward is the reverse. It does not matter which you use since everyone should be using the same system. My point about the spreadsheet is that it gives a minus value -0.012 so ...

Scaled down Targets

Hi Ted Thanks for that. If you have a look at the site you will see a set of targets in the "Your Recomendations" section that I got The Dragonsinger to redraw from some stuff I collected from the web. It was the same problem. No matter how good you are if the rings are too close together ...

Never got to see the first video as it's been pulled. The second one was obviously made by a non-shooter otherwise the spent bullet would have had rifling marks on it.
Good message though.

Hi Guys The contributors to this thread are handing out valuable info on high level competition target shooting and this is always good. BUT things have strayed off the original query which was “Does velocity matter in air pistol shooting?”. Well I am not the expert in ballistics but as an ex- aircr...

Hi Again, again
This is a better calculator but you need to get it direct from Airhog at http://www.airhog.com/convert.htm.
It does Metric and Imperial at the same time.
Regards
Jim

Power Calculations

Perhaps this will help. I can't remember where it came from but it works. To find out the Energy of a rifle = fps x fps x grains / 450240 = ft/lbs. To convert ft/lbs to Joules = ft/lbs x 1.355817 = Joules. To convert Joules to ft/lbs = Joules x 0.737562149 = ft/lbs. 1 grain = 0.06479891 grams = 0.00...
