Smallbore Junior Camp at Camp Perry
Anyone going to be there next week?
I'll be there with my daughter and one other kid (and his dad) from our club.

Our club also provides all the gear for the kids. We have sporter and precision air guns, jackets, stands, scopes, just about everything but pants. For fund raising Try your local VFW, American Legion, besides 4H programs. All of them have air rifle shooting programs and postal matches. A local VFW ...

At easter time we shoot those candy peeps chickens. Lots of fun, get the hard ones, they break up nicely. I also had the kids hang a target backward and shoot a smiley face on the back side of it, then complete it by connecting the dots. I then took a team picture and sent the targets and picture to...

Re: 3-P air and sport development
Wow! Ours is about 80% Girls and 20% Boys. (of course when one of the coaches has 5 daughters that does tend to sway the numbers a bit)Casper wrote: At present the ratio between boys and girls is about 70/30

Besides the NRA, and Friends of the NRA, have you approached your state rifle/pistol organization? How about local VFW, American Legion, Izaak Walton League, 4H, Optomists and JROTC? They all sponsor junior shooting programs and may be a source of funding. Gun raffles are usually a good source of in...

Re: Centrefire .22 for International Target Shooting
Best of all it should be possible to simply rechamber your existiing .22 match rifle barrels for the round. Serious suggestion, people. It's not a matter of simply rechambering existing rifles. Even if your rifle has an action long enough to handle the .22 Hornet (which most aren't unless they are ...

The aluminum stocks have a lot more adjustments, but we've found with Juniro shooters they spend a lot more time fiddling with adjustments than they do shooting. I think almost all the shooters in our smallbore club have a P70jr. (we ordered them through CMP which doesn't carry them anymore they now...
