Re: Manurhin MR38 Match rear sight blades

My recent MR38 Match came with 3 rear sight blades, each stamped with a different number. Unfortunately they were all the same width, 3.1mm. Milled one of them out to 4mm. I was also not impressed with the rear sight elevation screw detent notches, which hardly existed. Sent the gun back for a repai...

Re: Free pooters

A shooter at our recent National Championships was using CCI Quiet in his Walther SSP for the Rapid Fire match. Worked and cycled with no problem, until he was selected for chronograph and was surprised when he was DQ’d. Ha!

Re: FWB P8x vs Steyr evo 10e - share your experience

Another opinion, for what it’s worth, in relation to the above. My charging handle is not wobbly, the cylinder threads are coarse and thread on very easily, the cylinders don’t lose air on the gun.

Medium will be a perfect fit. I have the same size hand and my P8X medium grip is perfect.

Re: Feinwerkbau P8X won't cock

Is there a link to an exploded parts drawing for this pistol that anyone has come across? The FWB site doesn’t show one and nothing comes with the pistol. Thanks

Continue to have good results in a .32 Manhurin with 1.6g WST and lately using readily available Vindicator 98gHBWC, sized at .314.

Re: Scope Thoughts: NG20 vs NG30, or...

NG30 has a better stand and is fine for 50m. It's great for 25m as well, the field of view limits you to the black. The smaller scope is a struggle at 50m, but is very compact and works well at 25m, although the stand is flimsy. Both scopes fit well in pelican cases for travelling. These were reason...

Clicking to Centre

How common is the practice of 'clicking to centre' i.e. taking a click either horizontally or vertically(or both) after a shot that is not centred. Some talk of this on the AR forum, with the suggestion that an increase in scores by about 6 points is the result. I have heard of this as a training me...

I have adjusted the stabiliser on these and other pistols and thought I understand how it works. I think I was asking how it was activated, as I didn't know that it worked on blowback air as suggested.

LP10 bolt to barrel seal

Have done the 'tissue' test whilst firing (put a piece of tissue paper on top of the loading port and fire pistol to see if it moves). It does, indicating a leak. I have moved the barrel back, as per Steyr videos, but can't stop an escape of air. O ring is fine. The question is, how much of an air t...

Good luck with FWB in Germany. I emailed an enquiry, which was promptly and politely answered, but only to inform me that parts cannot be sent due to restrictions with the postal system.

An ISSF tourist in Europe

I am off to Europe in a few months for a holiday - mainly Italy, France and Germany (also touring great Britain). Will be over there for about 12 weeks. Has anyone any info or advice on must see shooting locations, factory visits, contacts, experiences etc. - basically anything ISSF shooting related...

They vary and will probably need to be individually fitted for length. If you buy M3x25, and cut to length you can't go wrong.

I can't see clearly, but in the rear jpeg view it seems that a threaded screw with a spring inside is coming down from the top (adjacent to the green buffer) - this is screw pp. It may be that the access to that screw is under the rear sight, I know on later models that it is very close to the edge ...

Have installed a few of these over the last few years. You can't see the plate when the target is down range. I don't think there is an option of a black backing plate. The surface is smooth and aids in the flattening of the pellet and directing it down into the trap. It is great system.
