.32s

Thanks for your analysis of .32 guns. It does sound like the observations were made from a depth of experience. I don't mean to sound flippant, but your post does however remind me of similar experiences I have had with every vehicle I have ever owned. Some would have initial quality problems, some ...

Walther FP problem

From the description of many of the problems, it sounds like the electronics that was driving the coil suffered from inductive kick which was punching through the driving transistor, killing it. Driving coils is tricky if you want a current step for fast actuation. Back when it was designed, there w...

Grip Paste

I used the (expensive) Morini paste, but found that the little can (perhaps 100ml) had enough goo in it to modify 3 pistol grips, including mistakes. I have since gone to the building box to buy the identical item, from a use perspective, at half the cost for 5 times the quantity. At first I used a ...

Sp20

Opinions SP20RRS in .22 I went to buy a Pardini, but put the Hammerli in my hand and could not put it down. All pistols in this class shoot the same. It is really a matter of personal preference. I really like my .22 SP20RRS. It shoots any ammunition, doesn't need to be clean (see below), and always...

208s popularity

My understanding is that the 208s is more popular in the US than many other countries. The grip angle is close to that of the 1911, so it is a very popular gun for NRA 2700 because of it's accuracy and similar feel to the 45. When it was replaced with the 280, the grip angle was more similar to othe...

Trigger weight

While I am still a new FP shooter, so far I have found my favourite weight to be enough that I can rest my finger on the trigger without fear, but little enough so I don't have to worry about "pulling" the trigger. The best way to describe it is that I try to get about the same pressure as...

CM84e ammo

I use RWS Target Rifle in my Morini. It seems to seat well, no problems with ejection, bullets go where I point (often to my distress). I tried Winchester T22, which seemed every bit as accurate, but I did have to push some of the cases in a bit harder. I also found that they leaded up the compensat...

Test Targets

I think that sometimes the test targets are just done with the barrel in a fixture. It indicates the precision of the rifling and crown, but does not indicate the quality of the overall fit and finish of the pistol.
