Re: LP400 cylinder problems

No need for Ulrich. I got her flowers for Christmas and I will offer her a working LP for New Year! After all 'slauer sein, Walther schiessen' is the slogan.

LP400 cylinder problems

I offered my wife a new Walther LP400. It arrived well before Xmas but… It seems that for transport the cylinder has to be empty. When I tried to fill it from my diving tank the cylinder was leaking on the side of the manometer. One of my shooting friends warned me for leaking cylinders on the LP400...

Re: FWB 65 + 90 fun

FWB65...that's why we called that time the good old days.
If I remember well the recors set with a FWB65 held for a very long time. Conclusion a good gun in very good hands.

"its the gunner not the gun". How right you are!
Remember that the world record in AP was shot with a FWB mod 65 and it stood for a very long time. The ever shorter competition time favors the choice for a the precompressed gun.
But CA or not: keep enjoying your shooting!

Re: Tired of cocking my F65, think I need a CO2 pistol.

No question is foolish, answer can be.
CA stands for compressed air. In short : the gas that drives the pellet out of the barrel is released from a cylinder that holds air under a pressure of +/- 200 bar. Though the pressure that will push the pellet is only about 75 bar.

Re: Tired of cocking my F65, think I need a CO2 pistol.

"I think used CA pistols are a bit more scarce in the USA than in Europe. There is a considerable markup getting them over here, and even when discounted as used, they are still quite expensive." Indeed, Gwhite. I came ( a little late) to the same conclusion when looking through the "...

Re: Tired of cocking my F65, think I need a CO2 pistol.

"I am greatly enjoying my new to me C25"
That's the most important. I wasn't judging your budget rather than wondering the choice for Co2.
But pleased to read that you're happy.
So go on and enjoy.

Re: Tired of cocking my F65, think I need a CO2 pistol.

CO2? What is wrong with compressed air? Second hand these pistols are definitly not more expensive then CO2. Add to that the availebility of diving tanks and pumps to refill the pistol cylinder. Go for the CA if you get the opportunity.
Good luck.

Re: Free Pistol at 25yd

Hi, siordian1, The difference in shooting at 25 yards and 50 yards is not as much in the size of the target but rather the difference in the ratio between the length of the line of sight and the distance to the target. Training FP at 25 yards is OK when your attention goes to the correct shooting te...

Re: shooting to the right

Hi Tom, My little 5 cents. First thing to check: how does it point after the shot, when you really put your effort on a follow through? If it to the right then I would suggest to take a good look at the grip. Make sure it fits well in to the hand. It will probable take some time and effort, but it m...

Re: Tesro PA10-2 Signum ...

Tesro is the successor of the Watlter 300 XP. It is at least as good as the P300 was/is. As a matter of fact : it is produced by a former Walther technician. As most target pistols it is far more better than the shooter. For a fair price you will have a pistol that has its place in the top range. Th...

Installation of Electronic System

My club is about to decide to install an electronic scoring system. One problem (besides financing!) is the place available on the shooting line. Is there anyone out there who has an idea. E.g. I was thinking of mounting the screens flat in the shooting table and protecting them with bullet proof gl...

Re: What pellets. do you use for 10M air pistol?

Indeed, here we go again! I had pellets tested by Vogel (in Geramany) And, indeed again, one batch gave a one hole ten shots group. I should have taken a picture of Mr.Vogel smiling when he saw my reaction. In the discussion afterward, Mr. Vogel confirmed that only top shots are having a benifit fro...

Re: Query for Experienced Competitive Shooters.

So you have discovered the knack of competition target shooting!
I'll quote Lanny Bassham: Train as if you were shooting a match. In match, shoot as if you were training.
It is all in the mind.
Enjoy your shooting.
