make blank cards from them

Cut the blank squares (with good practice, these should be there) and cut them to tape on the backs of other practice targets. That should provide blank cards to begin training sessions without using up more good Edelmans. My $0.02 CraigE

Thanks for the details!

Nicole, Thanks for taking the time to put this together. You certainly are right that not much information or pictures are out there to evaluate. As with you, my experience with Pardini beckons me to consider the K22 very seriously. Those being K58, K60, K2s. Well constructed, well finished, great t...

Does he shoot?

Interesting speculation about his motives/persona however, his sport doesn't take place on a range....indoor or out. Different stroke. $.02-CE

Where in PA ?

Ross,

Where do you live in PA? There are a number of matches somewhat locally (Southern NJ, DE, NE PA). There could be more. Will let you know about the schedules if they are reasonable distance for you. I am in Bethlehem.

Non-lead pellets

Checked out a link (in UK for www.cityairguns.com) and found they offer lead free pellete in pkgs of 400 for approx. $.036/@; this price may be slightly lees in bulk , but there is no question of being more expensive than current lead offfering.

Oil finish

Reference is correct. I realize that it doesn't dry to a "surface film", but I have used it successfully on both pistol grips and other woods as a penetrating protectant. It does dry and has repellant properties (i.e. perspiration) without degrading and is easily touched up with another co...

shooting what you like

There are surely arguments for the sheer pleasure of shooting...in whatever discipline you choose. This can be on a national level (e.g. Camp Perry) or international.....largely tagged as "Olympic-style". However they get to it, an awful lot of the rest of the world competes in disciplines...

Linseed oil is a nice finish, but......

Be prepared if using linseed oil as a finish to wait several days before it dries sufficiently to handle. If you want to use linseed oil, then I might suggest mixing with mineral spirits or turpentine about 50-50 and use multiple coats. Will dry faster and be more satisfactory. An alternative might ...

Thank goodness for level heads and slow days

Lots of egos clashing ....but I think it is correct that we all chase the same elusive goal. I take what mileage I can get. CraigE

Lots of reading

After reading all that.....and appreciating the careful thought put into it......seems to me to come down to observing and controlling the fundementals over which we do have the power. Practice/train to assure a repeatable process and analyze execution of fundementals rather than twiddle. If we shoo...

On Larry's Guns

Although representing different manufacturers, Larry Carter is every bit the gentleman and exhibits the same level of competence as our hosts for Target Talk. Good vendors are hard to find and the shooting community is lucky to have these guys working for us. IMHO CraigE

K2s

Don't know what the "s" is for. The CO2 version requires bulk supply to fill the pistol cylinder. Excellent pistol with elegant refinements over the K60 (CO2) that I had been shooting, yet with the elements that make the Pardini pistols very comfortable for me. I have not had this pistol v...

Tough call

Personally, I think the K58 more closely approachs match pistols costing quite a bit more. That being said, unless you can get a K58 reasonably, there is nothing wrong with the IZH. I know this sounds like a waffle, but the alternate consideration is that if you definitely prefer SSP, then the K58 i...
