Re: Length of pull FWB 2602?

As best I know the 2700 uses the same action as the 2602. The primary difference is in the detailing of the stock...particularly the the pistol grip.

Re: Length of pull FWB 2602?

Hello, my 2602 has a minimum LOP, face of trigger to face of buttplate of 11-1/2". My rifle has been a delight to shoot since I bought it new in 2003. Let me know if you need any more info...I am very familiar with this rifle and have competed with good success using it.

Re: FWB 2700 opinions

The FWB 2700 is a fine rifle. I have a 2602 that is the previous model. Bought it new in 2002 and have used it for a variety of shooting. My skill level has suffered lately but a few years ago i used this rifle to set several NRA 50 yard records. The FWB is beautifully finished, has an excellent tri...

Best glove for position shooting...Model 210 Fingerless Glov

There are many choices of good gloves. After trying literally dozens over the years, I find the Champion Shooters 210 the best glove for my use. Unfortunately my copy is worn out and a replacement is not readily available. Anybody care to comment on good alternatives? Thanks...Tom http://www.champio...

Champions choice glove is among the best, but not available!

Does anybody know of an equal in price and comfort to the CSS model 210 fingerless glove? Champions Shooter Supply is out of stock in most RH shooter sizes and unsure of replacements. This glove has proven to be a real value to me over the last couple of years but it is beginning to show its age. Th...

Re: anyone familiar with the OCAT laser system?

Hi Paul....the trace feature is useful so I look forward to the website update for details of how it works. For the future I wonder if you may offer a means of recording the trace on a computer. The trace leading up to the shot is particularly useful to determine hold and approach. Thanks Tom "...

anyone familiar with the OCAT laser system?

This system, new to me, seems like a lower cost variation of the SCATT system for dryfire. With the cost and availability of ammo this becomes an attractive option for practice. Anyone have any experience using the OCAT?

new coat advise...Champions Choice coat any good?

So I am looking for a replacement for my Anschutz shooting coat purchased from Creedmore sports. The AHG coat has been good but I was looking for some improvement in support and features. My interest is primary lower level shooting, maybe smallbore at Camp Perry. Does anyone have this coat that I sa...

Easy boots...any good?

My 'generic' shooting boots that I got from Champions Shooters Supply are about played out. I was thinking that the AHG "Easy" boots look like a step up. They don't have the Velcro in the back but I didn't use that feature on my current boots anyway. Anyone care to comment on these boots? ...

Camp Perry...equipment list?

Anybody have a list of "stuff" to bring to Camp Perry? I use a checklist for what to bring in shooting highpower. This is the first year for me to shoot smallbore and a good checklist is very helpful. TIA

start over...?

That would increase the pressure as things stand, forcing the system out of balance and the rifle out of its current line. I'm thinking of lowering it slightly as an aside, but as is, the position is very high tension in the sling and high pressure in the shoulder, which causes discomfort relativel...

shoulder pressure

thanks gents...good comments. Early this season I moved my handstop a bit (~1/2") to the rear to raise my position. This seems to be the root of my problem. I may have to return to a lower position...I had raised to get a better eye position and look straight thru my shooting glasses rather tha...

buttplate pressure...how much is enough?

recently I have become aware of my shoulder contact and buttplate pressure as not being consistant (problem number 1) and not being sure what to adjust as the best solution (problem mnumber 2). I shoot 4P and my sitting and kneeling positions became loose enough that it was costing me points. I real...

bore guide vs bore snake

A little off topic but I use a a pistol cleaning rod with a nylon brush to clean the chamber on my (red) 2602. Then pull a .22 bore snake with kroil on the two brushes thru to clean the bore. The barrel is left perfectly clean. Good .22 ammo doesn't leave much debris behind anyway so cleaning the bo...

shooting glove question

We have had a lot of discussion about what makes a good shooting glove. I probably own about 6 different gloves (AHG, CC, Creedmore, Thune, etc) None of them have good padding for the base of the thumb. Can anyone comment on a glove that provides good padding for the thimb/web of support hand area? ...

cant angle

Thanks Kenny...great explanation. My 100 Yard shooting has been done with no regard for cant. Perhaps my position was consistent enough to clean the target...or not! My regard for leveling is now greatly increased. It was the MEC catalog that called my attention to this. They wrote about it and feat...

cant angle and bullet impact variation

This idea has always puzzled me...that any minor inconsistent cant angle will result in a variation in point of bullet impact. Has anyone done any experiments to prove this point? It would seem that as great as a 90 degree cant angle would still line the point of aim up with the point of impact. Of ...

trigger

saaay...that's exactly what I wanted to do. Actually, I tried it out already but I had a problem. My FWB2602 has a dual rail for mounting the trigger. When I mounted the AHG trigger it was offset too much on either rail for me to get a good trigger contact. I ended up installing the AHG button on th...
