Unloading the MG2
Yes there is a "trick" to unloading an MG2 that is not fully explained in the manual. Try this to unload your MG2: 1. Put the safety (dry fire device) on safe (push to the right). 2. Remove the magazine without putting your hand in front of the muzzel. 3. Lower the front of the pistol and ...

Unique DES/VO
The DES/VO is very similar. I had a Unique DES/VO a few years ago, which I used for Int RF when 22 short was the cartridge to use. It had blow holes on the top of the barrel just foward of the chamber to reduce muzzel jump. This is no longer allowed. It was the most reliable semi auto for 22 short I...

Load for 25 & 50 yards
Rover, While southerncomforthemi is absolutly correct, I have an answer for you. Any load that will drive a bullet about 800 fps will work. The trajectory is about the same regardless of bullet weight from 185 to 200 grains. Sight in at 85 yards to point of impact and hold sub-6 with iron sights abo...

32 ACP
Schatzperson, Shortening a .30 Carbine cartridge is a interesting idea. Please note that .30 carbine case is tapered and will be more difficult to chamber than a semi-rimless case. I have been experimenting with .38 Special loads using 95 grain bullets. They recoil like a .32 S&W Long. 380 ACP i...

32 ACP as a target cartridge
Schatzperson, A direct answer to your first question is that 32 ACP is not really a good choice. The reasons I say that are as follows: 1. 32 ACP is a semi-rimless cartridge. The rim measures 0.358 inches and the body of the cartridge measures 0.337 inches. It is not enough rim to consistantly heads...

SK Pistol Match
I use SK Pistol Match in my MG2.
Accuracy is almost as good as Pistol King and functioning is flawless.
I clean my pistol a quick once over every 1000 rounds and a thorough disassembly cleaning every 3000 to 4000 rrounds.

Trigger Stop
Has anyone considered the possibility of a soft trigger stop?
Would there be any advantage if the trigger stopped against a spring or rubber stop instead of a hard metalic stop?
Just thinking about the mechanics of a trigger stop.

Int Cf
I shoot a S&W model 15 with a 4 inch barrel with Nill grips and a few other slight modifications. With a short barrel and orthopaedic grips, the gun fits the maximum size box easier than with a 6 inch barrel.
I also shoot lighter weights bullets, 124 grain semi wadcutter for reduced recoil.

LP 300
I have owned an LP 300 for several years now. I bought it new, about a year after they were available. The LP 300 has all the features a current model air pistol should have, except an electronic trigger. The origional trigger was very smooth and crisp. But my trigger would not hold adjustments very...

RF Kit
RJP if you dont mind what did you pay for the rapid fire kit? The US importer charged me $600, which is the same in Euros as the price listed in the Gehmann online catalog. I feel that for that price, they should have also installed a new barrel. It would make changing much easier. While we are tal...

S&W targert revolvers
Now if we could only talk Smith & Wesson into making a batch of Model 16 revolvers (.32 S&W long) .
The last one on Gunbroker.com sold for almost $2000. I am talking about the first series of Model 16, NOT the 16-4 version chambered in .32 Magnum.

MG2-RF
About 4 months ago, I bought an MG2 standard version. I also ordered the RF kit in Ergal separately. To install the RF kit: 1. remove the barrel from the gun. 2. remove the front sight from the barrel. 3. remove the set screw that was hidden by the front sight. 4. remove the counter weight by bracin...

Using an aperture
I shoot iron sights exclusively. I wear Knobloch shooting glasses. I use an aperture. At first I thought that by closing down the aperture, I will have everything in focus by increased depth of field. When the target was in focus, I found myself looking at the target, not the sights. My scores suffe...

My experience
I bought a MG2 a few months ago and I installed the rapid fire slide and muzzle weight myself. I have the mechanical trigger version. After the initial break in period of 500 rounds, I have had No Malfunctions At All. I now have fired over 2000 rounds through my pistol. It feels like a lighter weigh...
