I also have a lot of issues with servicing my air rifle. I have a P70 I need to service and maybe fix the absorber. I have contacted Feinwerkbau but was not too useful. I wonder if someone on this foruma might be able to help....

The best way to go would be to directly address the ISSF. Here is a copy of what we (shooters from South America) have sent to the ISSF. We thought it would be important to make it public as well. To the ISSF Administrative Council We are national and international rifle shooters from Colombia, Sout...

This is great news ! I just got my (previously untested) eley tenex ammo tested in Munich at the RWS testing range and it performed pretty bad compared to some of their batches of R50. I was planning on switching to R50, but may be I should wait instead until we can test in this new Eley US facility...

I would agree with the previous post. The range usually gets very hot, and even worse when you have to go on the second relay (around 1 or 2 PM). Do hydrate you athletes very well before and during the match.

Travel outside of the US with guns

I am considering to travel abroad (Europe) for a competition with my air rifle and my 22 rifle. I have not been able to find what I need to do in order to not get in trouble during my flight back to the US. From what I have researched I would need to contact the CBP, but I would appreciate any help ...

Of course it is also a matter of preference and training. The "Ways of the rifle" tends to suggest single trigger, although after watching Maik Eckhardt, it would seem he uses a two stages trigger... At least that is my impression.

Most currently used brands of rifles/gear in international competition are designed to do the work. Equipment is indeed important, but I would agree with previous posts : committment, time, practice and coaching will make it possible for good results

I have one of the older scatts, and it is real pain to calibrate it every time I detach it from the barrell or I switch from air to small bore practice. It usually takes me about 5-10 minutes playing with the screws. Once you are anywehere inside the circle, then you can just use your mouse to cente...

It's anticipation. Where is the twitch actually occurring? Agreed, it's almost always due to anticipating the shot release. The solution is to train trigger release so that it becomes more automatic. More dry firing is always worth adding in to your training drills and concentrate on smooth trigger...

MEC Sling. My experience

Hi, I would agree with the above comments about the MEC sling. It does certainly look extremely nice and it is very adjustable and comfortable. However, Batty is right, it has to be checked every time, especially before competitions. It happened to me once that the turning screw went too far out and...

Thanks guys! I appreciate it. It was an entertaining match to say the least. The wind on that range can be a real pain. Eric U I wondered if wind played a big effect, there were some of worlds best down in the 580+ area which is not as expected (although admittedly we all have off days). Rob. I can...

I have used scatt for more than 10 years now. I have indeed played with the F coeeficient, and I think 45 is a good number for air rifle if you shoot at 10 meters distance. It is trickier for .22, depending what position you are shooting, I generally use something around 55-65, which I think makes i...

Electronic target systems: Megalink vs Haering

Thanks to everyone, I have been debating for some time between getting a megalink or a haering system. It would seem the price is very similar, at least according to the info I have been getting in this thread. I would lean towards megalink because they do have representation in the US, unless there...
