Re: Pardini Lifetime Warranty

I don’t consider what I wrote as “banging on” Pardini. Sorry if someone took it that way. As I said, I love their guns. However, “Lifetime warranty” means precisely that. It either is, or it isn’t. In my experience, it isn’t! When I inquired, I wasn’t looking for a “lifetime warranty” freebie. I was...

Re: Pardini Lifetime Warranty

I got into Pardini stuff back around 2000. Don Nygord was the importer and service guy. Everything was great! At that time, the Pardini website in Italy even boasted that they still support every product they have ever made with an extrnsive inventory of spare parts. I was sold! That was then…this i...

Re: Steyr LP10 CO2 vs Air

That's a nice pair! I like the fact, too, that switching between the two systems is so easy. My old club had a few LP1s, with some being CO2 and some being air. We had a scuba tank and CO2 tanks. Doing fills with air was super easy. On the other hand, the air version LP1s gave occasional problems. S...

Re: Anyone still using CO2 match pistols

I love my CO2 air pistols (Pardini & Feinwerkbau)! They shoot great and are built like tanks. Same goes for SSP and FWB 65. I have a Hill pump for my CA Pardini. Even with the Hill "Dry Pack" I have to regularly disassemble the entire pump to keep up on condensation problems. I use tha...

Re: S&W 14 rear sight

Thanks for taking the extra photos. This looks very well thought out. I like the high grip and the way the sight line sits so low. It looks like you’re using a Pardini SP GRIP. What is going on with the “two triggers”? Is the forward one shaped to account for the change in grip and trigger reach? So...

I have a custom built S & W mod 36 with the Millett rear sight & custom wide blade fitted ( plus a custom made foresight too) and it does make it easier to align and sight the target.
Wow, that is really something! Very original and purpose-built.
Can you share more photos?

Re: old vs new

There's a film about the centennial of Anschütz, made by the factory in 1956. You can find it on youtube without much trouble. Of course, the rifle is stocked in plain, old wood. The barrel was hand straightened on a fixture by a workman, going completely by eye, touch and experience. The test targe...

Re: Draft Notes on Working with O-rings for Air Guns

This is great!
Also, RMCA has a great suggestion as far as a make/model database.

I think this would be an excellent addition to the Pilkguns 10P file???

Oh....
Thank You!!!

Re: PCP air compressor recommendation

As you can see, you are getting comments all over the place. How you get your airgun air is really a personal choice. I’d like to offer my recommendation which is going to sound like it comes from way out in left field. You say you have a Steyr air pistol? I think all Steyr air pistols can be conve...

Re: Importing Airgun Parts? Customs?

Again, Thank You!
Glad to hear the domestic side is generally not a problem.
Yes, I've heard origin countries, or sometimes shipping companies therein, have issues concerning export.

Importing Airgun Parts? Customs?

Anybody have experience importing airgun related parts into the USA?
I assume it's no problem.
What about the customs form? How do you describe item?
I'm guessing "parts for sporting goods" is too vague?

Thanks!

Thanks 6string. That’s great info. I’ll research those ones you mentioned. I’m in Australia so a bit lack of resource I reckon lol. Hi, Oh, I saw the ".lu" in your user name and mistakenly thought it meant Luxembourg. Is Potter firearms still around? They were associated with our wonderfu...

Re: Morini CM84E or Pardini FPM?

It looks like you’re in the EU. You have so many great choices on the used market in Europe, usually for very low prices. Both the Morini and Pardini you mention are extremely expensive. For the cost of either one you could pick up three or four excellent classic free pistols. Then, you can truly le...

Re: Hammerli 208s - problem with a trigger pull weight consistency

If you go to the website fir our host, Pilkguns, you can get to the “Ten Philes” of essential info. (That should be everyone’s first stop when looking for info on specific target pistols.). Go to Hämmerli, then 208s. There is a care and cleaning page by Ed Hall. It’s a “must read” for Hämmerli 208 o...

Re: Sad state of affairs

In a way, we (collectively speaking) are our own worst enemy. Consider the types of shooting ranges in this country. How many of them are set up for serious target shooting, let alone even conducive to productive practice? The vast majority are set up to accomodate the “spray & pray” blasters. M...

Re: .22 Ammo For Free Pistols That Won't Stick in Chamber?

Weather conditions, if you shoot outdoors, can affect fouling build-up. So, sometimes, even ammo that has been trouble free can cause this problem. I have a cartridge seater made from a short (6" or so) length of hard maple dowel just small enough in diameter to fit the cleaning rod hole in the...

I'd never heard of this until internet forum hyperbole came along. Perhaps I've seen a photo or two of an isolated case, but I'm not even sure of that. The 208 and 208s are still very much in demand, particularly for American "2700" bullseye shooting. So, thry're still getting full use dec...

Someone mentioned "upgrade in performance". What exactly do you mean? What "performance" function does an AP possess when you are set to fire? If you're talking "features" that's a matter of preference. Separately, do potential buyers ask themselves if they plan to use/...
