Re: Starting new Jr air rifle group

I tried another semi recent attempt at getting an air rifle group together at my local gun club. This was the return message. "After discussing our conversation regarding air rifles and the possibility of a program with the Club’s Executive Committee and Chief RSO, there was a consensus that w...

WTB small LH shooting coat

I have a relatively small shooter. 12 years old and is left handed. Looking for a LH jacket that will fit his small frame. Anyone have a used one laying around let me know.

Following through and committing to your coaches advise. Journaling and periodic retrospectives to ensure you are on the right path to success.

Can't hurt. Any practice is better than none. Download the free scatt software and you can print reduced size targets to practice with.

Re: home electronic target at < 10 M

There is a FB group for the FreETarget which (https://www.facebook.com/groups/831490281129882) would be a good place to start.

You could also shoot using a scatt, using the reduced target, live fire into a trap or dry fire.

Re: Camp Perry - Gun Smithing

Many thanks to Paul B. who helped fix the problem with the slam fire. Ironically, one of my juniors experienced the same problem with her rifle during prone and thanks to Paul's explaining the fix to me I was able to fix her gun.

I was at cmp nationals and Creedmoor had discontinued gloves on sale for $10. It's a camp perry only deal. If you know someone at camp perry you should ask them to pick up a bunch for you.

Camp Perry - Gun Smithing

My Junior team has an Anschutz Achiever that is slam firing (hammer is dropping if too aggressive pushing the bolt into position/down.). I want to connect with a gunsmith that could look at and possible fix the slam fire issue. Anyone know of or on this forum that will be there that could look at it...

Regarding the wrist worn device rule. The rule states first: "Mobile phones or other hand-held communication devices" The key point here is hand held communication devices... "may not be used" Then gives examples of the types of devices... "(i.e. tablets, etc.), electronic d...

Re: Wow

I have not paid attention to Smallbore for nearly two decades, and I’m super surprised to learn about how the sport has changed. I started shooting smallbore in 1977 as a teenager. I attended the 1978 and 1980 National Matches, and did a clinic at the OTC in 1979 IIRC there were over 500 competitor...

I don't think USA Shooting maintains its own rules anymore. They only apply the issf rules.

Re: Sporter to Precision Growing Pains

Go buy a lefty jacket, glove and sling if you can afford it. Maybe $200-$250 total. Then donate it back to the club. That's how most clubs get their equipment over time.

See if you can design a spacer from wood to extend the butt plate of the rifle.

I put together this powerpoint for the parents on my team to understand the options available for upgrading equipment. May be of some use here.
