As far as I'm aware, the 500mm barrel is the "short" option on the 2000 series action, supplied with a factory fitted extension tube. The 660mm barrel is a light weight, thinner walled barrel, fitted in the factory 1907, 1911, and 1912 models. The 690mm barrel is the "heavy" barr...

in a word, yes. :)
The sights are adjusted in the direction of the error.
And yes, it's the same as Anschutz sights.

There is an application called Targetplot, http://www.targetplot.com.au/whatsnew.htm
I believe it was initially developed for archers in New Zealand, but there is a wide range of target templates included.

I've used Scatt in the past, and currently use a Noptel system. My Scatt was a second hand unit, an early serial port model, and it was a bit difficult to calibrate. I believe that the newer USB ones are easier to set up. My Noptel Sport II was also bought second hand, from an add in TargetTalk :) T...

With air pistols and rifles there should be no particulate lead in the air at the firing point, although there may be some at the target depending on the type of trap used. Of course, after handling pellets you should wash your hands, and care should be taken when cleaning up any lead waste on the f...

recoil

I'd suggest that the tendency to recoil to the left in this case, is probably due to either, a slight sideways pressure on the cheekpiece, or the buttplate. The HPS/Gemini buttplate is great [ i have used one for years] , but there can be a tendency for the top curve to rest on the shoulder, instead...

handstops

I've experimented with a few handstops over years, several of the Anschutz ones, the MEC, and currently, a System Gemini AKTIV Handstop
, I've found that I'm more comfortable with a narrower stop that can offset, so that the pressure between the thumb and stock is reduced.

5) Pick something and train. It's called "Process Variability Reduction." Tackle the main source of error: where the muzzle is pointed when the pellet leaves.

One technique I've found useful is to acquire my sight picture above the black. I get everything lined up and sharply in focus on the target with the black just below my sights, and then lower my sights to my sub-6 hold before squeezing off the shot. I've found that I can ensure my focus is where i...

Cleaning

I use the VFG felt system for .22 rimfire and .177 air. With .22, I've found that if the rifle is left for more than 48 hours, the debris in the barrel oxidizes, and becomes much more difficult to remove, so I use a couple of dry felts after shooting, with a deeper clean if I'm taking a longer break...

It is safe to dry fire PCP guns with pressure. It is springers that you should not shoot without some resistance of a pellet. PCP's just shoot the air out the muzzle, no problem. But...............under ISSF rules, discharging air in this manner will result in a penalty of 10 points [ a miss ] , so...

Air cylinder care

I recently asked the UK Steyr agent about the maintenance intervals for my LP10 cylinders. The current advice from Steyr, is that after 10 years the cylinders will need to be returned to the factory.
I can't be sure about Hammerli's position on maintenance, but would expect a similar response.
