Oh no, Here we go again. Clarence No im sure one or two might have had a good experience, but the majority of things you hear is horror stories, and i personally know three that were screwed by him. There are far Superior gun makers that have good reps so why take a chance on him. On the contrary, ...

I have had him work on three of my guns and never had a problem. Dr. Nick is a great guy to deal with.

I recently sent my M9 to Dave Salyer and had it tuned to shoot hardball matches. I'm shooting regular Winchester white box ammo and am having great results. Like some of the other posters on the site, its taking me some time to get used to, coming from a 1911, but its both cheaper to shoot and is s...

There are several possible alternatives in my opinion and they are all European guns. 1. Pardini GT 45. I have read several very positive reviews about this, con is the large grips that maybe difficult to get used to. I own the SP and HP which both are exceptional guns to say the least, i would thin...

I just talked to Dr. Nick a few weeks ago when I sent in my M9 for a tune up. It didn't seem like he was going to stop making the M9's. I think he will stop accurizing M9's or other guns sent in by customers, rather he will just sell complete guns.

MCP is a sponsor of Brian Zins, like Aimpoint and Lapua, he's not Dr. Nicks business partner. MCP has licensed his name for that one pistol they offer. Don't bring him into this, he doesn't have any other involvement with MCP and you shouldn't be claiming otherwise. It is obvious this person has no...

USMCMBA, who built your M9? Thanks, Dwaine Dwaine: Dr. Nick / Mountain Competition Pistols. If you are seriously thinking of getting one, I would suggest you try shooting one first before plunging $2500 into one. It took me a while to get used to shooting the M9 since I was more accustomed to shoot...

Out of curiosity, how much do you have to pay to get a great hardball gun, what kind groups do they shoot, and what kind of wait time is typical? Thanks, Dwaine The "great hardball gun" out there runs around $1700 for a EIC legal 1911. Best anyone would guarantee is 3" groups at 50 y...

I understand to fully accurize a M9, they completely gut the pistol. The only original part that is not replaced is the slide and the frame. I think I would be more concerned about the quality of the frame and slide as you don't want to spend close to $2K and have a cracked frame in the future.

There are definitely quite a lot of information being posted here about MCP and Dr. Nick and frankly some of these postings seem to be pure baseless accusations. What I do know from the years I have dealt with Dr. Nick is that he is a exceptional gunsmith and quite a knowledgeable person. There are ...

I talked to Dr. Nick just a few weeks ago about the Brigadier slide. He is busy with other endeavors at this time like Gunny Zins ammo, some sort of govt contract he has. It doesn't look like he will get to the slides until later this year. His new 1911's on his site are awesome to say the least.

List, Thank you to ones who have sent me e-mails expressing interest in such a clinic. For those who are interested but have not let me know, please do so, so I can get a good picture of how many people would likely sign up for such a clinic as I have to propose this to the board shortly. As stated,...

In season one, they had some non shooting related challenges such as knife throwing. I would think it could be possible one would struggle with throwing a knife no matter how skilled you are at a pistol or rifle. I wonder what is in season two? Throwing ninja stars and hitting apples with a bullwhip...

Brian is a very upstanding guy, but that doesn' t mean that he has any inside knowledge on MCP's operations or financial standing. Dr. Nick and Brian have a very close working relationship. GBMaryland and the prior guest had made good summary of their Dr. Nick's recent situation. I spoke to Dr. Nick just yesterday after a few weeks of unsuccessfully trying to get in contact with him. I think he has had a lot on his plate lately and probably for the rest of the year since he mentioned h...
