Re: Shooting jacket questions

Freeland (Champion Shooters Supply), Champion's Choice, Gehmann (CC), Sauer Std (10.9) and AHG/Anschutz (10.9 & Creedmoor) are the only ones in your price range that I know of in the US.

Quite a task if you are talking about international, national, regional, state and local associations that are across the whole world.

Re: NRA directors elections

Correspondence that I received from one of the gun clubs of which I am a member listed the following as pro-competition and/or are competitors themselves. Also, the recommendation is always to only vote for the individuals that you really want. You do not need to vote for a full slate of 25/26. John...

Kneeling position for an extra large young shooter

I received the following question from one of the 4-H shooting coaches in my state. Any suggestions? I have a 13 year old male shooter. His prone is really good and his standing is coming along. His problem is kneeling, mainly because he is huge. This boy is probably north of 6 feet and 200 pounds. ...

IZH CM-2 rifle front sight apertures

Is there a source for various sized front sight apertures for the IZH CM-2 rifle? The front sight seems to be just a bit smaller in diameter than a 18mm front sight. I could probably just file down the outside of some generic plastic apertures like the ones Champions Choice sells, http://www.champch...

Re: ISSF rule 7.6.1.3, 7.7.5, 7.4.2.2 - Air Rifle palm rest

Has there been an official published interpretation? It seems that almost everyone at the World Cups is using either the Anschutz 9015 Precise or "One", the Feinwerkbau 800 or 800X, or the Walther Alutec, Anatomic or Blacktec, all of which have these "palm rests". Someone decided...

Re: ISSF rule 7.6.1.3, 7.7.5, 7.4.2.2 - Air Rifle palm rest

see the thread titled "Air Rifle Palm Block" that I started on Oct 31, 2017 in this same forum. I received a direct email reply from a ISSF rifle committee member as follows, which leaves me with even more questions: "Palm Rests are not allowed on Air Rifles. The picture in 7.4.4.1 sh...

Re: Air rifle palm blocks

Palm rest and heel rest are different. Palm rest goes under the fore-end of the stock (7.4.5.2) and heel rest goes on the pistol grip (7.4.2.2).

Air rifle palm blocks

I am trying to make sure that the NRA precision air rifle rules and ISSF rules are not drastically different. Also, I would like to make sure the collegiate club rifle shooters and coaches understand what the rules are. ISSF rule 7.4.2.2 for air rifle states: "A thumb hole, thumb rest, palm res...

Re: Purdue University loosing its range! - UPDATED W/GOOD NE

Could someone please explain why people playing football are allowed to choose to participate in a sport which very often leads to serious bodily harm or death but some regulators would like to make it so I may not CHOOSE to use a shooting range where I MAY inhale or ingest small quantities of lead ...

The website listed above for The Shooters Edge has no information on items for sale. Does anyone have a link for this?

I was able to back into contact info at http://theshootersedge.us/contact/

Rifle shooting suit questions

I coach a college club level rifle team. We have over the years purchased new clothing from Champion's Choice and Champion Shooters Supply as well as used, higher end, clothing when and where we could find it. We would like to upgrade to the "next level" of clothing. I have not been able t...

George Norton and Mike McPhail are tied on points for the IronMan Trophy going into the last day with McPhail having a 70x (!!!!) lead. Points will probably end up making the difference.

Re: Savage Anschutz 64 trigger adjustment

They are 5.5 mm. The nuts I am dealing with are somewhat rounded off due to someone using the wrong tool on them. There is also not much room and whatever tool one uses better have nice sharp 90 degree edges and if using an open end or closed end wrench it needs to be pretty thin.

Savage Anschutz 64 trigger adjustment

I am trying to adjust several Savage Anschutz 64 triggers, probably 1970's or early 80's vintage. There is an adjustment screw in front of the trigger and one behind the trigger. The front adjusts the trigger stop and the rear is for the sear engagement ( I am pretty sure). Both are locked in place ...

Re: IOC, the ISSF & the Extraordinary General Assembly

Some more related info on the EGA. Seems there is a little more going on than the ISSF would have us believe. Why is it that large member organizations almost never talk about their "dirty laundry" in public. We always seem to have and wait and find out second or third hand, if at all. And...

Might be tough getting the 100's or 1000's of volunteers to stay for three weeks rather than two. Interest might also "peter out" if the time was lengthened.

Just a tube for longer sight radius. Just like the idea behind the Morini CM80 of 20+ years ago.
