You have a great point. I definitely feel that the rifle is in no way the deciding factor when it comes to winning medals at any level. I honestly believe that the best shooters in the world could use any brand of rifle and be very successful. For me personally although i have used a Feinwerkbau air...

This would be very interesting to look at. It would take a lot of work going through pictures to double check, and actually i don't know if there are pics from some of the matches before the ISSF changed up their website. I know that several shooters who had wood/laminate stocks before have switched...

Air Rifle(brand) Medal Breakdown
Thought I should post this up before the 2009 World Cup season gets underway. I started on this after the 2004 Olympics to figure out which shooters were shooting which rifles. It turned out a lot differently than I thought actually. Hope it's informative. Enjoy Ryan Results from the 2004 Olympics, ...

Dave To me it seems like you have a pretty solid idea on what you would like to solve with the drills, but i think it would be helpful if you were to take a different perspective on what training drills can really help you accomplish. Like i mentioned before i believe that the purpose of training dr...

Okay, i think i misunderstood what the original poster was looking for in terms of training drills when i made my first post earlier. I think it would be helpful if you were more specific in terms of what type of problems the drills you are looking for are going to address. Hold characteristics, bal...

I do believe that the 700 wood stock is nearly identical to the p70 wood stock. It would feel slightly different from the p70 though. I think (but am not positive) that the stainless barrel on the 700 makes it a bit more front heavy. otherwise i do belive the stocks are the same. ryan off topic: ace...

your perspective is right on about the other models being just as high quality. Sorry if it seemed otherwise but what i meant was that the feinwerkbau is the best rifle for me. I also agree that FWB is the rifle shot the most world wide and yes this should equate to more medals on the world stage. I...

I definitly believe so. When comparing it to the P70, FWB made some changes to the loading mechanism, the way the barrel clamps to the action and of course the stock. Cosmetic changes to the outer barrel sleve, addition of built in risor blocks etc. But overall they are very similar. Build quility a...

I also have Astigmatism and i personally use shooting glasses. (Champion more specifically) I will say that both contacts and shooting glasses present unque problems. As mentioned earlier, contacts can dry out. Yes they do have 'non drying' contacts now, but im not an expert on how well they perform...
