Re: Anyone Put a Rink Grip on a Walther LP400?
I have tried the LP400 with its standard walnut grip. Didn't liked the shape of that one (flat, thin grip). I must also say that as you I don't like the Steyr grips (Steyr changed many times their grips, the last one are the worse for me and the size of these last version was strange, very big, much...

Yes, but with the stupid new rule where the qualification score aren't taken over for the final score and with only 8 or less participants to the qualifications, the qualifications become a kind of warm-up, nothing more. So ISSF should either take the qualification score into account for the total s...

The AP20 isn't a top PCP pistol for sure but it is a unique offer on the market. Even if its price isn't as low as some would like to have it, it is really cheaper than any other new PCP pistol (don't compare it with old stuff like the FWB 65 and IZH46, no young shooter wants to use these pistols an...

Hi, Please post your results with the Green Tag. It's been my experience with a bunch of Hammerli free pistols that all the CCI stuff is hard to chamber. Same experie4nce with my Hammerli 160 special (the mechanical trigger version of the 162). They are hard to chamber and hard to extract because t...

I bought several grips from Rink for my pistols and the ones of my wife (air pistol, standard pistol, free pistol). I always ordered directly from him. The delivery time is announced on his web site and depends of his work load. 5 weeks is short, it is usually longer (something like 8 weeks). The re...

I am in the shopping mode for a new FP and I think that the FPM is the only currently made free pistol with a mechanical trigger. Not true. Match Guns MG5 is also made with a mechanical trigger and is considerable cheaper than the FPM. The Hammerli FP60 has also a mechanical trigger and is still in...

If it is about traveling to a competition abroad that includes flying, I think that the probability to have problems with baggages (lost, blocked, delayed...) is much higher than the probability to have an air pistol failure. So, in that case, what is important is to ship the second pistol different...

Its up to you to decide and it seems to me that it depends at what level you are shooting. Top brands air pistol are very reliable and the chance to have a problem is very low especially if you have more than one cylinder. Now if I was qualified for the Olympic Games, I guess I would take a spare on...

The advise of opening the purge valve is written in the user manual of some pumps (some Gehmann models for instance) but its is only valid for some cylinders brands and doesn't work with others like Steyr. There are basically two concept for the cylinder and its adapter: - the one of Feinwerbau wher...

Did you try without releasing the pressure release valve ? Just completely unscrew the cylinder when it is full.seamaster wrote:Turn air cylinder 1/2 turn, release pressure release valve. Air cylinder pressure leaks to zero with one big puff.
No.seamaster wrote:So no one open up the cylinder to re-seal before?

The Steyr male adapter pushes the valve of the cylinder open when the cylinder is screwed on it (other brands like FWB don't do that, it is the reason why FWB deliver a tool to make the cylinder empty while for Steyr cylinders such a tool is not needed, you can make the cylinder empty with the adapt...

In RF, the first and most important quality for a pistol is reliability. If your pistol fail you are out even if this pistol has an amazing recoil recovery. Up to now, almost all electronic trigger have shown a low reliability (exception are the single shots Morini AP 162EI and FP 84E). And all manu...

The cocking mechanism can also easily break: if the shot is released with the breech no fully closed, there is a major risk to break the cocking arm of the firing pin or to break the firing pin in two pieces. The firing pin is a kind of cylinder with the real pin on the front end and a cocking arm o...

There are pistols that when you do a not perfect shot, shoot a 7, others an 8 or even still a 9. It is due to the balance, trigger weight curve, sights position... One example: the higher sights of the P44 makes it less forgiving if your pistol is tilted laterally than the LP10 where the sights are ...

Yes, you will get the long trigger guard. A shooter from m y club bought one in March (ordered by Jaghaus Halbach to the factory for him) and he also received the long trigger guard. He preferred the short one and contacted FWB to see if he could buy a short trigger guard as spare part and FWB answe...

It seems there is a P44 (in black) model year 2013, with minor mechanical refinements. see http://www.dominoguns.com/index.php/news_show/id/63/feinwerkbau-p44.html?sku=262 It looks exactly like mine from October 2012. As said, some importers still had the blue model in stock, may be it was also the...

I have a black p44. I can't compare with the blue version. The finish is not bad but it is definitely not as good as the LP10. On mine where you put in the pellet there are a few very small stains of de-coloring. It is not a big issue for me though, since I enjoy shooting it much more than the LP10...
