Re: Pardini SP - recoil weights stuck — SOLVED

Thanks gents. A few minutes after posting, I thought about gently using a heat gun combined with some more tapping/coaxing. Weight #2 came out almost immediately while #3&4 remained more stubborn. After three cycles of heating and cooling down, they finally broke free. Thanks for your help - gre...

Pardini SP - recoil weights stuck

I haven’t used this little gem in about 5 years and ran into a problem while cleaning it tonight. Only one of the four recoil weights came sliding out when I tipped it over. The rest will not come out with the usual gentle coaxing. I’m letting it soak in some Kroil overnight and hoping for the best ...

Like the rest of your down under ilk, you are always looking at the practical side of a dilemma Spencer! ;-)

There are some places still left, my club included, where we don't have e targets just yet though. Good to hear from you!

Re: AP Rule re Blank Target

Thanks David - I was hoping you would chime in as you previously did. I'm not sure the explicit language of the rules you cited prohibits the practice though. The issued target is the correct one and the scoring rings comply. The conflict seems to be how the approved target is used. What if the comp...

Re: Shot Rejection

Shot rejection is triggered whenever you notice something off about a shot, even if the only thing is your concentration. Five seconds into a hold, even if it is a perfect hold, if I notice that I wasn't paying any attention to what I was doing, I will reject. Or, if I come down on the target and n...

AP Rule re Blank Target

I recall but now cannot find a thread from several years ago regarding shooting the back side of a sighter target as part of match warmup. The consensus was that it was disallowed since "the target is not being used as designed."

Can anyone chime in?

Re: PELLET CHOICE USING RWS R 10 MATCH

Why would you even CARE what pellet the factory used; you can't buy them and I just told you not to. I guess you didn't do a search or you would have found this post by me: "To simplify this whole pellet business: 1) It doesn't matter. 2) If it did matter, only the lot # of the pellets matters...

Re: practice time

The thread on shot rejection is what got me thinking about this. There are some days when my concentration isn't where I would like it to be and I should reject almost all my shots, but I pull the trigger anyway just to have something to show for my time. The results are depressing. When I've manag...

rigwhanson thanks for the valuable tip. Do you by any chance have a part number for these pins which might help me locate them? I think the manual if you have one, has a schematic.

Re: AW93 - premature lockback

Yup. I just looked at the configuration again and realized it can't be the mag spring because it provides tension in the wrong direction. Then I noticed a spring (just a piece of wire not a coiled spring) that puts downward (just asp you described) pressure on the slide stop. I removed and tweaked i...

Re: AW93 - premature lockback

I never considered the mags as the source of the problem since it's happening with all of them but.....you must be right because it simply does not appear possible that the slide stop could move up into the slide recess without getting hit by the bolt. Maybe it is getting that slight bump you spoke ...

AW93 - premature lockback

Gang; I just picked up a very nice AW93 with one annoying problem – the slide locks back while there’s still one round left in the mag. The problem occurs about once in every 50 rounds with all four mags. Changing ammo does not resolve the problem. Ammo is all standard velocity. Gun and mags have be...

I suspect what is happening is that you are tightening your grip as you start your trigger pull, whicb induces a lot of wobble. If you trigger finger is moving independently, triggering will not induce a wobble. Grip the gun in such a way that no part of your trigger finger is touching the grip, an...

PHX Desert mid-winter classic

Does anyone have any date informaton for this event? Rumor has it that international events will start on 2/21/13 but I'd like to get some confirmation. The club website is silent on the issue.

Thanks to all.

Now that's thinking out of the box. I disagree.....taking the money to find a youth program and then exercising some common sense by KEEPING YOUR MOUTH SHUT about it would have been a far better idea. The publicity will undoubtedly persuade the city to figure out a way to prevent this from happenin...

I have the same problem with 1911's.

Assuming you paid a fair price for the Steyr, deduct $100-200 depending on how quickly you want to sell it. Chop up the trigger guard, and I would deduct $700 at minimum and pray real hard.

It would be difficult to find a trigger better than the Morini.
