Re: Pistol from France to USA?
These guys/gals import. Talk to their Import staff (Michael or Steven?? Forget his name as it's been 6 years). You may even see what you like there and it will save you the hassle. http://www.simpsonltd.com/ If you like logistics, have a go at working the process (legal). Be prepared to wait a long ...

Re: Pistol from France to USA?
First, be prepared to wait months. After you have everything aligned. I had an FFL import on my behalf (form 6). And it's about a 3-4 month wait (that is just for form 6). You'll need an Arms exporter in France. They need to be licensed to export (I had an export from Germany). They will want to be ...

I heard the Rivanna AP shoot was/planned weekday afternoons? I work 8am-5pm and no way could I make it there in time. Would be great if Colonial started an AP league....

Re: 10M Air Pistol/Air Rifle Shooting Near Williamsburg, VA
Layfayette GC (Newport news?) used to have them, haven't had emails from their MD in 3 years. You could search and see if they still shoot (it was an early - like 7am - start time). Richmond VA MD (match director) had a local Moose club, held a few regionals here. BTW, I'm in this area. Only regular...

Re: Where can I get mainsprings for Diana 820?
Diana is a .22lr. Could contact our host, then ISS (Neal Stepp in Ft Worth, TX). I doubt Umarex would even know what it is. If all above fails, email factory for a EU contact. Would bet Scott could get it.
Get dimensions before calling/emailing. I'm surprised a Walther KKM didn't fit?

Re: Interpretation of safety rule
Putting a airpistol down with a pellet in it is the same as putting down a loaded gun, regardless if the loading gate is open or closed. You do not put a auto down with a round chambered and the slide open, dont do it with air. If there is a pellet in the gun, hold it in your hand......its loaded. ...

Not defending Neal, but, did you (the OP) ask/call him (Neal) about availability before sending in your money? This is a simple Yes/No answer.
If 'yes' then did he have it in stock or did he say he had to backorder? If backordered, did he (or you) ask how long it would take?

I switched from Contacts to Glasses last year. My club shoots outdoors and in the Winter and heat of Summer my eyes tear up (I'm 53). With contacts and my eyes tearing up they (the contacts) would float and focusing on the front sight was lost. I went to an optometrist and told him about my sport (s...

As you increase reg pressure, shot count will decrease. As you increase hammer spring force, shot count will decrease. More hammer spring increases the valve float. It is a balance. If you increase the reg pressure and don't increase hammer spring, you'll get erratic (lesser velocity) results. I hop...

In Fairfax, contact the Fairfax rod & gun club. I believe their matches are for Jr's (could be wrong). Richmond has informal 10m (and occasional sectionals), first Sunday of month (winter only). I'm in Richmond, don't run the matches, we get people from Blacksburg. PM me if you want more details...

Any of the brands mentioned (Steyr, morini, FWB, Hammerli, Walther) can do well. You need to show up at a match and ask shooters if you can try them (after the match would be polite). Also note shooting a PCP you'll need a tank. Tanks that are equipped can run from $200 (used for steel) to $800 (new...

Traveling in Germany - taking either .22lr pistol and 10M AP
We're planning a trip to Germany (Austria and possibly France) this summer. I was thinking of visiting some of the shooting clubs and possibly shooting. While I know some shooters in Germany (I already have an invite to shoot at an old Munich shooting club), I was wondering if bringing either pistol...

Why would you assume the ring finger wouldn't give an unfair advantage? It could in the below situation: Situation: Shooter has oversized wedding ring. grip is precisely grooved where the wedding band resides. Thus, allowing the shooter to place his hand in the exact same position shot after shot. I...

Re: toz 35
I went with the 11*. There is no protection for a flush cut crown. The reason I went with a crown cutter and not a lathe is that it VERY difficult to ensure your new crown will be perpendicular to the bore UNLESS you use the crown cutter. Furthermore, if you don't have a 35M, the front sight shroud...
