Cavalier has a strong FP & Std pistol program. Few attend the RP as it's last on the list that day. The Saturday schedule normally is: #1 FP, #2 Std, #3 RP. LaFayette has Sport then RP (I've only attended once). More attend RP here and you'll get some local competition. They shoot on Sundays If ...

How about Virginia?

There are 2 clubs in VA. Cavalier (North of Richmond) and LaFayette (VA Beach area). USAShooting has their exact address.

Cavalier is a straight shot up I95, exit Lewistown (?) Rd.

Skateboard shoes, have you tried them? They're cheap and you can find them in supermarkets.

They are flat on the bottom and provide a good foundation. While not super comfortable, my feet are happy.

I bought a pair of Skeechers (spelling?) in a Walmart near my house.

It's a Torx 20. I wrote a 'T-20' as that's it common name.

Google it or take the screw (only the screw) to HD or Lowes and as for a T-20 bit.

It is a....

....T-20....

I just measured. You can get that as a bit if you have a screwdriver set (ie Chapman, etc).

There are matches outside VA Beach and Richmond. Both with smallbore (slightly different programs).

If you find a place near Charlotte let me know as I could visit my son and shoot on the same weekend.

www.usashooting.org Has the locations for you!

EJ, if I may ask one question? Where are you? 10 minute walk to the range (and it's not on your property), nice! This is all good information that people posted. I just wish the OP asked us to state where we're from. That can make a difference. One poster was from AZ (or NM?) where there is more ope...

Yes, Alexander you are correct in today's circles. I slipped as Walther was more popular than FWB back in the 70's when I was in HS.

Anschutz, FWB, Walther, or HW, the gun itself (new or old) can still shoot better groups than I.

They must have, don't know what they did (nor care). I bought my CM22RF this past spring (April 2011) and it has been working great. Only 2 alibis that I blame on the CCI Std Vel wax used on the boolit. Other ammo has worked great.

10M shooting is without a doubt easy to get trigger time

I would also like to mention what Brian mentioned. With a 10M AP/AR, you just need (a little over) 10M of space. In my house I have 2 bedrooms that are devoted to my 10M shooting range. I have measured out 10M and (safely) shoot between these rooms. These 2 Br's are on the 3rd floor of my house, and...

Let me explain my comment

Since I've been quoted, let me explain what I said. I also know some club members visit TT and hope I don't offend them. First, this club has about 600 acres, with these ranges (and maybe more that I don't know about): 100 yd rifle, 50M pistol (where I shoot Std, FP, RP) with automatic target turner...

Try different regiments in your training, and take notes on each. You need to do that regment for at least a week, to see any results. here's mine for 3x-5x weekly: I lift light-weights (2.5lbs bells) for 15 minutes, then a 15 minute break. 2x daily. I also stretch 5 minutes before a dry fire sessio...

I bought my TOZ35 from CDNN (slight surface rust) with no box (must have been a return?) for $295. That was 6 months ago. Sorry, they don't have no more as I asked twice.

So they will be out there!

Answers depend what matches you go to (this is a serious response). Since matches don't draw 100+ shooters (we're lucky to get 5) you will see an array that that shooter has chosen. For example, where I shoot there are 2X (sometimes 3x) Pardini's, 1 Benelli, and I have a Morini CM22RF. This is SP. I...

But, the malfunction rule gives that shooter an advantage. Doesn't that shooter then proceed to take 5 additional shots on the same target? And the top scores in that target used for record? Say your first 4 shots were all 9's and then a malfunction. You shoot 5 more (per rules on the malfunction) a...

No. Target shooting is (was supposedly) preparation for the battlefield. Who holds up their hand (with a malfunction) there? Clear the round and fire again.

Beautiful rifles from the German company Weihrauch. More popular are their airguns. Most German target shooters seem to prefer the Anschutz and Walther over Weihrauch. But, they can hold their own when it comes to accuracy (if the shooter does their part). I like their lines (of the stock) and would...

There is no disadvantage to starting with the TOZ35. Equipment will not automatically make you a better shooter. Funny, the German and Serbian shooter here are using the TOZ35: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSQm5unqo-M So 2 out of 8 used the TOZ35? This is the 2011 Stage 6 WC Finals, and BTW, Serbi...

My thoughts from a LH shooter.

I too am a LH shooter but only 51. I have been heavy into AP this year and a few months ago started FP with a TOZ35. I too am looking for LH grips. I choose the TOZ35 as it's still being used by top competitors. I believe the top US shooters use it too. If you check ISSF TV (now on uTube) many compe...
