Interesting responses, because Sauer 3016 boots have a very wide, squared-off toe box, perfect for wide feet. I have wide feet and I tried Corami boots in the same size, and found them too narrow to the point of being painful. Great boots, very stiff, but I sure don't think of them as being wide. AH...

Bear in mind that you can have a good hold, wobble badly during triggering, pop it back in and catch a 10. That doesn't make it good technique, so the relationship is not between a single triggering value number and the shot score, but rather between the hold quality throughout the process and the s...

I believe that one of them is movement within the triggering phase, and the other is movement relative to the previous few seconds of the hold. I have not used that function on my Noptel in a while, but that's what I recall. Unfortunately, I can't tell you which is which, but I'd say they are just a...

I've used a Noptel for almost 8 years, with great success. I like it a great deal. Just started using Scatt in my club as well, and it has a couple of nice features. The zeroing sequence seems pretty good on it. I have so little experience thus far that I can't really speak to it, but I'm sure other...

Eric, i once had someone tell me that one can shade just as well by moving your head slightly on the cheekpiece to mis-align the sights, rather than holding over with the front sight. I didn't buy it then, and still don't. But I was unable to tell him why; could not come up with a solid answer other...

Supermatch, you make a valid point, although I have been posting here on many subjects for many years, offering my input where I felt it was valid and useful. The gear used in these shooting events is often complex and sometimes hard to find, as is the information about it. Since I took on a new rol...

Re: Anschutz coat question
Randy, you are right about country of manufacture except for Kurt Thune; Kurt only makes clothing at their operation in Finland. That's is why Kurt Thune clothes are more expensive at the low end of the offerings. Ahg and Sauer do have their basic jackets made outside of Germany. They cost little, b...

Derek, I have an earlier version of the MEC for kneeling, and have used the 4765 for prone for several years now. I use an HPS butt plate for standing. The MEC is nice but I could never get it to feel right due the straight line that's it's hook makes, and I haven't been able to get it to conform to...

Amanda,
Kurt Thune does not sell directly; they only sell through their dealer network. There are three dealers in the U.S. and 10.9 LLC is one of them. Please contact me at the email address below and I'll be happy to help you.

My experience has been that one's head position is pretty similar between prone and kneeling but more different for offhand. This varies from shooter to shooter, but it's not an uncommon situation. So if you wanted to make life simple you could have two frames, one for standing and the other for the...

Mannel no longer sells Evotex clothing. They eliminated the line to concentrate on their firearms and related products. 10.9 LLC is now an authorized dealer of HiTex shooting clothing from the Czech Republic, which is the company that developed Evotex and was licensing the Evotex material to Mannel....

David- Yes, there was a touch of humor intended there. Perhaps more than a touch. But– a few years ago, I would have been the only person to suggest Mac compatibility. Now, two others beat me to it. That tells you that even within our small community of shooters, there is a GROWing number of people,...
