for what it is worth, if you are getting some 48/50, some 46/50 you must be doing a lot right, not much wrong. need to work out exactly what you are doing in these periods and work at maintaining this throughout the 60 shots. setting score related goals is always going to create issues you are descr...

luke, I am newish to pistol, so sorry if I am wrong. my thoughts are your training program will be largely dictated by your current level, and what it is you want from pistol. Steve, cross training is training one event, and shooting comps in others as well, without training them as such. Obviously ...

Mmmm Well, its not mind games by any means. using calculus is an interesting approach. and with the right formula, the correct result can be calculated. where you come up with the wrong result is not including enough variables. part of what you are saying is right, I dont know brian zins, but put hi...

fred, thats the problem. It is so easy in the zone, it is confusing how to get back. the more we analyse what we did to get there, the greater the mystery becomes. most will apply thier verbal thought process. but its using pictures and feelings. In the zone has a very specific feeling. learning to ...

Bill, thats a big Question. No you havent really missed the point. with due respect, I would say you (me included) still have lots to learn. Some things you will only learn when you are ready to accept the information. Despite the veiw you took when you first started posting, you have come a long wa...

Thanks bill. I dont think russ was saying there are no top shooters on TT, just they arent asking that type of question, its the beginners and intermediates that are. Top shooters are well past this type of theory. As for looking at a target, Im with russ. By the time you are ready to use visualisat...

I think that some people are verbal, some visual, and most are a combination of both. but prefer one or the other. I still think you can teach all to visualise eventually! but some will pick it up easily. others take some work. this group of people would not rate highly on the talent identification ...

wheres all the engineers gone when you need them! from a rifle point of veiw, I have not experienced any such issues, but maybe if you stuck it in the cupboard for a long period it might be useful to fire some test rounds? as for co2, if it has a metering valve, (some early pistols dont) and you wei...

Hi steve, I would be interested in poisson clumping? has it been covered before? I was getting different groups from target to target, 10 shots each, though it is now getting difficult to score with 10 shots. thought I was mostly doing the same thing wrong for that target. then moved to split groups...

Hi bill, errors happen, its knowing they can that drives us to do what we can to avoid them. but in saying that, you cant change the position of the last shot, only the future ones. Maybe the results aren't written until they're verified... What would be the results of training where no matter what...

i would say your getting the cause and effect wrong. you visualise the perfect shot. being perfect in execution, it ends up as a ten. sounds the same? actually its very different. please explain? but the downside of this technique is that once encouraged by the series of 10s, u tend to easily lose ...

So spencer, you saying I live in the boonies? My pistol has manual hold back still in tact, but have seen shell casings used on other members pistols, often of a greater caliber than the pistol, but I see your point and will raise the issue. you never know, you might get lost one day and turn up on ...

looks pretty grey and fuzzy from here as well, maybe 20 yrs ago might look black, or some shooting glasses. the trigger was an example of fucussing on something you are not able to see. the stuff in the unfettered mind is very good, including not thinking etc, but have concerns about the religious i...

That one place being exactly where your eyes are focused as well Mmmmm. are you sure! So if I'm watching the target, but focusing on trigger release, then what! ideas are not so different, just read the unfettered mind. it is very good. I still think the translation could use some work, but thats j...
