dont know of any sport that does not have the same process to be your best, the applications change, but you might be suprised how similar different sports are. pistol has its own demands, like any sport. If you want to know the technique of pistol, you need a sport specific coach. If you want to le...

How could I miss one of your threads bill, it's not that old. the first post was in referece to your very busy shot discription. I thought it funny at the time, but I now see the error of my ways. although still busy, I should of given you more respect than I did. sorry The paper exercise becomes cl...

you guys are funny. dont sell yourselves so short. there are coaches, and there are coaches! the better you start to compete, the easier it is to sort through the crap, and beleive me, the coaches that can talk the talk, but cant walk the walk, were never that good themselves! and they are very good...

Hi rob, I should eleborate on shot/comp plan, this does not include results! but it is for better results you need it. at no time did I suggest to think about a ten/results/outcome/place/etc, during the comp. though I did make the statement thinking about tens adds unwanted pressure. all I can think...

Targets? vapa ones? since replacing the main spring it is tearing less, and getting better, but still not as good as a ca type pistol. I was suprised with the result, maybe it is the crono I used? maybe run a ca one through it to see what it reads. I am keen to try it out at sydney some time, but ra...

we all want to shoot 10's, just we need to have a good plan to acheive this. so often we get so focused on the result, we forget how to actually do it. spencer, I have lots comments about your request, that probably are not in my best interest to comment as even with my poor engrish, it is unlikely ...

sounds interesting that is the view many are taking, and this is another good example, but if I gave him 5 sets keys at once, then said you get xxxx dollars if you catch them all at once 3 times in a row, it might not be all that easy. I have not read the book, so its not fair to brian unos to poke ...

well crono said 130 mps with 4.49 rifle pellets, 130 with 4.5 pistol pellets, 120 with yellow top 4.5 rifle. may be faster with 4.49 pistol pellets. expect it would. what is normal for a mod 65? no rest to check accuracy yet! electronic targets, if the paper backer doesnt roll down, and you hit the ...

always a difficult situation. pretty normal, happens to us all at times. sure there will be lots ideas, but I think the biggest issue is trying to shoot a 10. having a result oriented goal is always going to put extra pressure on you. you shoot your sighters and start getting scared as you are not s...

I watched the olympic bronze medalist shoot wap, she took about 3 attempts for every shot, shot the last shot with less than a minute left. suprised she didnt request 3 medals! LOL
she had a plan, and stuck to it.

Bill, there is no right or wrong! it is more important you maintain an understanding of what you are doing. these forums are good, but could cause more harm than good. that is not following through if you change. that's one reason why a diary is important, to be able to back track if it all goes pea...

Hi david, so if the pellet is not making a clean hole in the std paper target, you are saying it wont register correctly on the electronic targets. does it come up with an error, or does it give the wrong result? I am using a spring gun fwb mod 65, that sometimes rips the target, big strip the size ...

peter, it is good you decided to register. The disliked guest is a bit unfair to the legitimate guest, some people like to make silly comments under "guest" so become rather disliked! my only comment is the more I learn about Russ's character, the more I see it is unlikely he intensionally...

Hi Russ, what is this collegiate issue? is it an extra section, or are you limited to that section? just wondering what all the fuss is about? hope you shoot even higher next year, put some of these knockers back in their box. If these people had the right attitude, they would be knocking your door ...

Hi bill, I think you have a sight picture you are looking for, when this pre determined picture is attained with everything else in place (feeling) the final release of the shot occurs. your mind is controlling everything. it has signals coming in, and signals going out. training what signals are se...

steve, I dont know about different dimensions/time. If you can call the shot, you are recalling the last 200ms before and after the shot. this is important to do. problem with taking someone elses version is they may lie for lots reasons, dont know, so tell you what they have heard is normal, and if...

thats very good larry. but start the trigger first, may well be the same as wait till it feels right before release. but with a different approach to the shot. With the "start the trigger first", then watch the sights option, once attention is shifted to the sights, do you actually progres...
