Re: Please explain this air pistol silhouette to me.
A few: http://www.pbrsc.org/pistol-silhouette.html http://www.airguns.net/comp_silhouette.php I've shot full sized silhouettes with .44mag and .357 Max pistols. You happened on a scaled down versions to match air pistol size and range. The angled scope mounts were called "ladder mounts". T...

Re: carpal tunnel
I've been flirting with carpal tunnel problems for years. It started when I was shooting enough hardball 45 to go Distinguished, back in 2003. That and tendinitis, great fun. The best thing I've found as a preventive/palliative measure is almost a yoga pose. Hands in front of your chest, palms toget...

Re: TSA locks and shipping
Ammo may be inside the same case as the firearm, so long as it is in a "factory" container. This seems to mean no baggies. Any cardboard or plastic container (MTM, etc.) suffices. Done it many times. I've read of one guy that puts filled magazines in the case, but they need to be taped ove...

Re: The Bullseye Clinic with Brain Zins
If you're out of state, these locations couldn't be any worse! You could do a whole lot worse than Palmyra. It's really a beautiful facility, run by some great shooters. For me, well worth the two hour drive for an air pistol match. Not familiar with a range in or around Cedar Grove, but NJ's gun l...

Re: Well, isn't that special!
But the point to be retained IMO is that the language that was used to disparage the controls and licencing of firearms possession result in the immediate loss of the argument because of the easily shown parallels to every other form of licencing. Except for one very obvious non-parallel. Almost ev...

Agreed. But that never stopped an anti-gun legislator from proposing a ban. Anything they can do to throw a restriction on the law abiding.Rover wrote:There is no reason for lead-free ammo, especially pellets, if you're not munching them like peanuts.

Re: Rika Website
I have a Rika system and run it from a laptop. The 8-bit software 3.9 is the latest and the company has no intention of making a more modern version. It will run directly on an older machine that runs XP (and maybe older). It can also run on a windows 7 machine in virtual XP mode. That's what I'm do...

What Rover Said.
Use your most comfortable and consistent sight picture, likely the same as your AP picture. Once you're shooting small groups, you can fix your scores with a screwdriver. (Not original, an AMU sergeant told me that at a small arms firing school.)

I love mine. Even more than the Izzy I shot my best scores with.
It's going to be a long time before I can use its potential. Weight is easy to add, much harder to remove.

Thank you, Will, I suspected somebody was making propaganda. Facts are much better - even if they don't fit a favored narrative. I've PM'd Will as I got this info from him during a level one coach class several years ago. If the facts have changed since then, it sounds like for the better. If you'r...

Looks like they changed the picture but not the URL. It also looks like they're out of them and you can only "pre-prder". Sheesh! The bums!

Re: Purdue University loosing its range!
Let me guess, they got a new bureaucrat somewhere up high in the administration and he/she doesn't like guns. Same thing happened to MIT several years back. They got a new dean who changed their rifle and pistol teams' status from varsity (supported) to club (unsupported). She also did away with the...

A certain dealer in Ohio has them for $7.29 in the 500 count tins. Buy three get the forth free.
But probably not what you're looking for in your quantity.
Some clown on Amazon is trying to sell them at $12 per tin.

Thank you! I had to turn my anti virus off to get through, but it's working now. I'll have to see what happens when the AVG kicks back on in a few minutes. I did forward your quoted words to Google. Re: How Much Does Wind Impact 10 Meter Air Pistol pellets
I'd have to say that it would blow the shooter around much more than it would affect the pellet's flight.
Practice in the wind will do you good for bullseye shooting at Perry.
Re-reading, you've only got a 1 point difference.
