Re: Are tins the most practical way of storing air gun pelle

And refrigerator is a bad choice, not just because of the temperature, but the humidity. Higher humidity will speed up oxidization. Refrigerators are dryer than normal air. Things only seem wet when they come out into room air as the temperature is below the dew point. Talk about an overthinking th...

Re: Great Indoor Pellet Trap

If we were shooting BBs at a hard steel plate they might come straight back. With lead pellets they spend the great majority of their energy in deforming into flat little "splats". These tend to fall on the floor in the five or six feet in front of the trap. Occasionally, one will be round...

Re: .45 "Marine Load"

Amazing all the dire warnings about magnum primers from people who admit never having used them, including the various company techs. When the primer shortage was in full effect, all I could get was Federal Large Pistol Magnum primers for my bullseye loads. They work fine. No increased pressure sign...

Re: Definition of a "firearm"

... The point I was making was that no state in the United States, even the most restrictive ones, consider BB guns or pellet guns powered by air, whether SSP or PCP, and regardless of velocity, a firearm. This is quite incorrect. The state of New Jersey includes *ALL* BB guns, air pistols and rifl...

The Edelmann targets are so "crisp" you can almost break them in half. Will definitely leave crisp holes. Bring $$.

I like the Krugers.

Re: Non pro shooter looking for first pro quality .22 pistol

New Jersey is a veritable hotbed of bullseye pistol competition. Our state outdoor championship is the third largest attended match in the US, behind Camp Perry and Canton. Take a look at njpistol.com Yes, there are more legal hoops to jump through, but you can shoot a 2700 almost every weekend, man...

All entertaining replies. I'd say find out what's available nearby and go from there.

Re: Air pistol backstop: ballistic nylon, or kevlar, or ?

I've used several layers of old carpet scraps. One will stop the typical air pistol pellet and three or four will take a couple weeks of nightly shooting before they need to be replaced. Of course, the better shooters will put the pellets into a smaller spot, meaning their backer material will need ...

Just like Remington buying Bushmaster. Where did the money go that bought Bushmaster? To the former owners. What did they do with that money? They started Windham Weaponry. Windham offered former employees the same type of jobs and made the same (some say better) types of rifles that they made as Bu...
