Try swapping the black tape for a light frosted material if you can. The more light entering both eyes the better for your focus ability.

"Springs are damaged by repeat stress fatigue, working them beyond their range, or ultra high temperatures taking out the temper. Not time." The most accurate description of spring wear outside of metallurgical textbooks. Any spring that is damaged by being left normally compressed has ver...

Re: Getting rid of prone 8 ring wobble-how tight hold w/fore
I disagree with the statement made earlier that the trigger finger needs to have tension in it. The finger should be relaxed as other parts of the body. Holding the grip too tightly or having to reach for the trigger in which case you move the the grip forward, can cause tension in the finger. The ...

The first time I saw an LP400 with the silver CF barrel wrap, I was sold. An air pistol with bling!
I still don't shoot it as well as my IZH-46, but I'm getting there.

Re: Guide Rod Jamming on 45 BE pistol
Full length recoil spring guides are worthless. A complete waste of money. All they do is take money out of your pocket and put it in the "gunsmith's" pocket. That's their primary function. They do nothing for you and you're experiencing the downside, as is every other person that replied....

Re: 10 meter pistol scoring?
When the OTC had the paper targets that retrieved on strings, it was one shot per target. The targets were numbered with your firing point and also sequentially numbered. They were picked up by target runners and scored in a separate room. Now, it's electronic. The OTC has Megalink targets, same as ...

Re: Rover Bait on Gunbroker
Actually, it's the shippers that insist on next day air for firearms. UPS couldn't/wouldn't keep their employees from stealing firearms. So, rather than crack down on the thieves, they insisted on next day shipping that has closer controls and documented hand-offs. FedEx followed suit just because t...

With "proxy bidding" that first bid was more than $12. All that shows is $1 over the starting bid. I put in a $37 bid and am not the highest bidder. But $37 is now what shows on gunbroker.

Re: Grip size
I have small, medium and large grips for my Walther LP400 air pistol. I've found that the grip size is more length of finger than width of palm. The adjustable heel plate allows some variability of palm width, but the circumference of the grip is what your finger length determines. Although I take a...

Re: Dot Recommendation for 1st timer
You should be looking at the target, not the dot. I find dot size unimportant, but like a large one. Once upon a time, Gil Hebard had Leupold re-reticle (a real word?) some 2X LER scopes for bullseye pistols. He made the dot large enough that, if the dot was kept inside the black, you would be aime...

10 meters is really 32 feet and 9.7 inches anyway. So your 31 feet is closer than 35.

We all have dictionaries, don't we? There are certainly a few on the interwebbie thing that hosts this forum. Look up the definitions of the word release . You'll find something like a lessening of force or containment. "Setting free" if you will. Even "releasing" a recording or ...

Far and away, the biggest variable is the trigger puller. The best shooter can probably win with the lowest quality gun.
