Re: RIKA fails to install on Win7-x64

Success! Got to play last night after a long day of annual inventory and then our Jr. air pistol program. COM1 was the key, but it wasn't easy getting there. Even though I had the Keyspan software loaded on the Win7 part of the machine and mapped to COM1, the VM XP Mode refused to "attach"...

Re: RIKA fails to install on Win7-x64

I bought a Windows 7 laptop to run my Rika on. First off, I had to upgrade to Windows 7 professional or higher. $20 from a reseller got me a key that worked on www.windowsanytime.com . Then download VM for free. Then download XP mode to run inside windows VM. It's like having an XP machine in a wind...

Re:

I have mine installed in a MS Win Virtual PC in Win7. I have no idea if Win8 has a similar Virtual PC function. Hi Gary, I'm running the Rika software on two laptops and a desktop. Two systems are running Windows 7, 32-bit and the desktop is Windows 8, 32-bit. All three installations have been in u...

In my limited travels with air guns, I've found that if the cylinder is on the gun, TSA doesn't call it a compressed gas cylinder. Spare cylinders, yes. Never got a real hassle anywhere except Newark (of course). Atlanta, Philly, C-Springs, I went to their station, the TSA guy asked if it was unload...

Talk about distractions, we used to shoot on half of a double basketball court. There was a nice heavy curtain dividing us from the b-ballers, but the noise came through very well. Shoes, backboard noise, dribbling, screaming coaches & parents, whistles and that big ah-o-gah horn they use. I tol...

I help run a youth air pistol group in NJ. We have a mix of pistols: club owned IZH-46 and 46M and a few Alpha Proj Air Arms guns. Individuals bring their own Steyr, Walther and Pardini pistols. The kids (young teens) that shoot the IZH guns can hold their own with any of the others. One of our youn...

Also, there's a real nice tutorial on www.pilkguns.com that walks you through the piston seal replacement. Mine hasn't needed it yet, in around 6000 rounds. Just a drop or two on the seal from underneath (see the manual) and a little light oil on the external linkages is all that it really needs. It...

Re: Anybody interested in Baikal IZH-46M?

.....for the amazing price of $359. Nope. :( Too heavy, last century technology in comparison with a compressed air pistol system. Why should someone in the right mind financially support manufactory, which does not have any intentions to improve existed model for decades. By the way, in the long r...

and third, pump with two or three mini-strokes, rather than one difficult stroke.
Not possible. The cocking lever has to be pulled all the way open and closed in one stroke. Opening it again will release all the compressed air.
