Re: Olympic 10m which pistols?
This is kinda what I'm thinking also. Must be other benefits with an electric trigger and not just the feel of it. Of course one can be reluctant to things tjwt might occur but I've decided to next pistol will be electric. Not still just thinking on which one. Keepin an eye out for a newer used one ...

Re: Olympic 10m which pistols?
Nice which one did u end up getting? I've heard tjst the grip is a bit wierd. I'm leaning to pick up another grip for it anyways if I choose a morini. I got the 200. The grip actually fits me pretty well out of the box, but I'm going to Germany this Summer to get a custom grip. I did have some issu...

Re: Olympic 10m which pistols?
Just be careful to not buy the grip. I always get the twitches when someone buys a gun because "it fit like a glove". Grips are meant to be adjusted and molded to you which can be done with any brand. Buying a gun off the grip is like trying a couple of peoples glasses and then buying the...

Re: New Top Tier Air Pistol Recommendations
I'm also in the same boat. I'm.leaning towards a fairly used Evo 10e or a morini. The morini is a bit more what I'm looking to purchase beacuse i live in Sweden and there is a person that is superb with morini and have worked for them for many years also. Not looking to purchase a brand new one but ...

Yes it's to bad there isn't such a list anywhere. Not that I could find anyways. Its mostly fun to see how it's been represented in past few years and why not anyone uses say Feinwerkbau p8x for example. Might it be sponsorship or is the Steyr just a better pistol in most people's mind. Perhaps it ...

Re: Difference between lp2 and Evo 10?
Ok alot of good ideas. Appreciate it. We'll what I'm.mostly looking for is a good pistol to have for many years to come, parts isn't an issue overhere in Sweden. But I don't want to tinker to much and want a reliable pistol. Don't want to service all the time. Some say go with morini beacuse don't r...

Re: Difference between lp2 and Evo 10?
Morini 162EI is little bit heavier on front than Steyr Evo 10E and is not so adjustable as Steyr (in fact Morini 162EI is not adjustable almost in any way). Morini 200 is more adjustable than 162EI (but still not so as Steyr) and is relatively light on front than Steyr (but you can use barrel weigh...

Re: Difference between lp2 and Evo 10?
1. adjustable rear sight notch 2. length, weight and balance (Evo 10 is more adjustable in balance) 3. absorber 4. length of sight 5. trigger blade 6. rotable front and rear sight 7. electronic trigger (Evo 10E) Maybe I forgot something... Thank you.. Ok just looked up a few of thoose things. Well ...

Re: Looking for my first Olympic airpistol
I'm.aiming for beeing able to beeing stable around 540-550 and upwards. I think it is well within your reach, even during the competitions. And 550 in Swedish Cup events would put you among the top 20 participants. That could be a nice feeling :) Only time will tell but this is why I want my own gu...

Re: Looking for my first Olympic airpistol
Don't know how far one can go as I'm soon 49 years old but this is something I would like to do as long my body also thinks it's OK. I started shooting air pistol a couple of years ago, when I was nearly 10 years older than you are now. And I am certainly not the oldest one I see around me shooting...

Re:
Speaking as a Walther LP500 owner - don't buy it just because its cheaper. It's a very different gun compared to the Steyr. I personally appreciate how intuitive it is and how easy it is to customize, but it's also harder to make small incremental adjustments because it's all mostly made on the pri...

Re: Looking for my first Olympic airpistol
49 is a great age. The oldest person at a shootinh event was a 72 year old called Oscar Swahn, he was Swedish. Provided you keep yourself fit, train hard you can shoot at a high level for a long time. Out of those three pistols I'll pick Steyr, but they are all good are very much a personal prefere...

Re: Looking for my first Olympic airpistol
I followed David M, advice when I brought an air pistol. I went with a Steyr evo 10 manual. I had a choice of an electronic Morini, both were fantastic guns and the only reason I went for the Steyr was servicing. Easier to get a Steyr serviced in the UK compared to other makes. You may have to trav...

Re: Looking for my first Olympic airpistol
1/ Buy the best you can afford to buy. Good quality Airpistols all hold their value over the years. 2/ Buy something in current production, it will ensure parts for the next ten to twenty years. 3/ Buy something with local dealer support just incase something goes wrong. 4/ Mechanical vs Electronic...

Re: Looking for my first Olympic airpistol
They are actually priced the same here in swedenPirateJohn wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 12:08 pm Pardini K12 and Morini 162 are also excellent pistols used often in international competitions. The Pardini is probably going to be cheaper, too.
