Re: Improve the FAS 6004

I agree 100% on Superlube.

I rebuilt my FAS 604 (It was a Domino 404 when I bought it long ago!) and used silicone-based lube with excellent results/

Re: Improve the FAS 6004

A suggestion ... I've stopped using pretty much any kind of petroleum-based oil/lubricant on my O-rings and substituted silicone lube. Seen too much degradation of O-ring rubber.

Re: Hammerli AP20 PRO cylinder hand pump charging

Unfortunately, I sold my CO2 scuba tank when I sold my Steyr LP1. Now I am back into the compressed airguns. Got the Hammerli AP20 Pro and need to figure out how to charge the cylinder. Silly as it may seem, can I somehow use my Craftsman air compressor or is it unable to produce the 120 DIN I need?...

Re: FWB65 Question - what are they like to shoot?

Several FWB 65 shooters I competed have done a home-grown trigger jobs on their triggers with success . Don't be afraid to go inside and carefully smooth the cast mating parts. IMO lubricating doesn't do the job that smoothing will.
I agree that the 777 was much better.

Re: Nosy 'bout pellets

Some years ago the US shooters would stop off in Deutchland, on their way to European matches, leaving their APs with pellet manufacturer(s) who would "test" different batches to mate with individual APs. They then made those codes available to the competitors in case amounts. I am not gue...

Re: How much does my Hammerli worth?

The latest new AP20s seem to be offered in the high $700s. The new AP20 Pros are in the range $900 - $950.

The next step up is $1500 - $2000 +. Not much in the middle Good luck.

Re: FWB65 Question - what are they like to shoot?

As the OPs have said, it's old technology and, if you're looking for an inexpensive competition pistol, this might satisfy your needs. I had one back in the 60s and was able to improve the trigger without destroying the mechanism. RWS regular pellets, even Daisy, work fine. My next AP was the Domino...

I saw him decades ago at some Championship match. As you can barely make out from pictures of Minder shooting, in addition to the palm-up grip, his pistol's front and rear sights had been moved to the palm-side also.

Amazing shooter.

Re: FAS Domino 602 manual - ENGLISH

I still have my 602 ... bought it in 1979. Parts may still be available in the USA from Neil Stepp (in Texas). For many years I used the heavy barrel shroud both at Perry and the International qualifiers in Phoenix and Los Angeles with good results. When my eyes started to go downhill I mounted a re...

Unfortunately, the Domino manual itself has no information on sight adjustments. Check the Pilkington database.

Call or contact Neal Stepp at ISS http://www.iss-internationalshootersservice.com/ and see if he can help. I've bought several SP602 parts, including hammer assembly, from him in the past.

I have Antal and Skanaker's book (in English, printed in Sweden) and would consider selling it. It's a first edition 1985. Excellent condition, too! Got it from Ragnar hisself after meeting and competing with him back in the 80s. Serous offers considered. Search Amazon and eBay to see what the going...

I still have my 602 from 1979 and have replaced the hammer box once.

Neil Stepp at ISS in Texas may have what you're looking for.

Be prepared to pay $125 and up.

Do some reading about Babe Magnan from Massachusetts. Using only revolvers, he was the first to fire over 2600 at Perry and has been over 2650 four times using only S&W DA revolvers. His loads were his own custom design as were his grips. Timed and rapid fire were shot single action. Worked up h...
