I found a link in the archives for a 208 manual. Might be of interest to some.

Re: Trigger adjustment Hammerli SP20
Although I haven't had to adjust the slack force, I think it's referring to the slop force to move the trigger until it first engages the hammer release. I call it take-up force. My Special Tool, part 1.309.260 is under lock-and-key and almost never sees the light of day. (LOL). I could provide pics...

Re: Hämmerli SP-20 Front Sight
Sorry, no extra front sights came with the SP-20, but isn't the front sight adjustable up-and-down anyway? I know you can rotate it to get different widths ; the beauty of triangular front sights.

Re: Bullet Sizing 32 S&W
Attn: fc60
Just received my order of 98 gr 0.314" HBWCs from Bear Creek. Very satisfied with appearance and consistency of weight and dimension.
Thanks for the referral. Now I can stop hunting for those Speer bullets.

Re: Bullet Sizing 32 S&W
To: fc60 Took your lead and called Bear Creek 30 minutes ago, Yes, they do have some inventory of 98 gr HBWCs. These are cast, then swaged at 0.314". Since I can't locate my Speer HBWCs, I ordered a bunch. Price is reasonable IMO and shipping is flat rate PMail. I'll be comparing the Magnus (no...

Re: Bullet Sizing 32 S&W
As I recall, fc60 has done extensive work on this, focusing on "your" particular barrel. Lots of variables here ... barrel twist rate, bullet weight, DEWC or HBWC, powder brand and weight, cast or swaged, taper crimp or roll crimp and so on. For 25 yd/25 meter marksmanship (NRA/Internation...

Re: Bore snake for pistol’s match barrel?
I'm still using the same procedure that's worked for me for 40 years. For routine cleaning the Bore Snake is fine for the chamber and the bore. However, the muzzle (you know, where the projectile leaves the bore) may need attention as a build-up of crud (burnt powder) needs to be removed to make the...

Can someone provide an accurate history for the manufacturer? How did we go from DOMINO (1980-ish) to FAS/DOMINO to CHIAPPA?

Re: Air Gun Maintenance
An occasional blast of compressed air is helpful, too. Most important is NOT to use petroleum-based lubricants anywhere near the internals inasmuch as they can and do chew up O-rings. Silicone-based lubes and O-rings are recommended. Can't tell you how many O-rings I replaced on my FAS/Domino before...

Re: One of the Greats
Was introduced to him by Don Hamilton way back in the early 80s at the Int'l Championships in Phoenix/Scottsdale. Nicer guys don't exist IMO. He lectured about free pistol shooting and was selling his book, which he autographed. A real pleasure.

KILLOUGHS and the CMP seem to have the best assortments of .22lr and they have stock. The bricks of Eley Target (yellow box) are $65, so I bought 2 cases this morning and got the free shipping. We have enough Pistol Team members so that everyone will get a shot as buying some. Won't have to worry ab...

Re: 32 s&w l wc and WST
FWIW, save the Bullseye for another caliber. IMO Bullseye is dirtier than W231, WST and other powders. It is also more dense.

Re: 32 s&w l wc and WST
Just a historical note on powder for the 32 S&W-Long loads ... V V (the Finnish powder) has been excellent for this caliber, but it's expensive and it's not consistently repeatable on my scale(s) at the very low powder weights. My opinion is that the OPs recommendations are spot on. And remember...

Re: 32 s&w l wc and WST
I agree with DGide on his load. I haven't varied from the 98grain HBWC over 1.7 - 1.8 grains of WST for decades. The other "trick" is to use two seating dies, one to seat the HBWC a little high, and then buy the Profile Crimp die to give the cartridge its final roll crimp.

Re: .32 S&W Long WC Loads
Here's what I consider the best set-up and it's from almost 20 years ago. It comes from Neil at NSK Co. I use it with W231 or HST with a Hammerli SP-20 and my ancient Domino 603. The 2-stage seating allows for a slight roll crimp using the Redding Profile Crimp Die. "We load this cartridge comm...
