Shooting lenses.
I get my glases from the £1 shop, take out the lenses grind to shape on a sander to fit your holder, I bought +1, +1.25, +1.50, +1.75 and +2.0 for a fiver and tried them to find the best. Mind you at 85 I cant shoot for toffie-nuts now, so why waste money :-)) Bob. 85yr WW2 Veteran, http://www.btint...

ISSF & UIT
While wandering around the Roberts Ranges here in the UK, I saw a large number of 10m pistol shooters shooting what must have been to UIT rules with spotting scopes and large caps on. In the old days that is all we shot and I had not realised it still was popular as I only shoot ISSF rules now. Do y...

FWB 103
thanks for the replies, it looks like I will have to keep it then. As for pumps, I am 84yrs old WW2 veteran and would like to get older :-) not be found on the floor holding a pump, as for match shooting, I am a Full member of the BPC which means I have shot for my country in the past, although it g...

FWB 103
Can anyone confirm the demise of the 103, I have heard rumors that it has been discontinued. I know it has never been popular, but for the life of me I cant think why, it saves all the paraphernalia of tanks, hoses and gauges and driving miles to get a refill. If it has been discontinued it might in...

Tin pellets
I shoot indoors between matches, and have been given a new pellet that is made of Tin, weight 7g called Triple P. I am not a great shot now, being 84yrs but these pellets are great. I know when I have shot well and these pellets give a one hole group. As Tin is lighter than Lead, the pellet is sligh...

Pellets/Shot
This might surprise you, try shooting Gamo .177 Round Shot. I ran out of pellets the other day for practice so I shot 20 rounds of round shot on my usual 10m indoor range, really just to see how much difference different pellets make. Good shots went in the 9 & 10 and the bad ones in the usual p...

Thanks folks, Over the years I have used US pistols mainly, so I have made little round stickers to go over the German directions with High-Low-Left-Right. I think in the tension of a match, the last thing I want to worry about is converting sight movements, I would rather stick with what I am used ...

Strange sight movement.
Hello, Over the last 45 years of competitive shooting and during WW2 I have had more pistols than I can remember and always the back sight is moved in the direction you want the shot to go. For example; if your shots go ‘low’ you move the sights towards the ‘H’ (high), but my FWB 103 works the other...

Pump Pistols
Many thanks every one for your help, I will just have to keep an eye on the black backing paper to see it keeps moving, especially when I drop one in the 'white'. I could buy a PCP and extra cylinders to last a month if I had a long term future in match shooting, but at 82 I dont think so. If any on...

Re: FWB 103 Dryfire
Many thanks Imrahil, I can see now that I was frightened of braking the flap, thanks for your help. Bob. uote="Imrahil"]You don't have to pump the piston for dry fire. You can cock the pistol by opening the flap manually and pushing it far enough until it clicks. When you have done that, b...

FWB 103 Dryfire
Hello, I have just joined this forum, I have returned to airpistol after 30yrs, my what a difference in that time. I bought a FWB 103 a few months ago as I shoot indoors and dont want the bother of compressed air. I have found that the book says that the trigger can be cocked for dryfire by lifting ...
