targetscan app question
Can someone who uses this app tell me if it works with TQ-3/5 target. I see in description TQ-3/1 and TQ-3/2, but no mention of TQ-3/5.
I tried another app that did not work. I don't want to buy it unless I know that it will work with this particular target.
Thank you.

Re: glasses for scoped rifle
Thank you!
I have minimal astigmatism, so I can even use safety reading glasses (I still prefer my prescription glasses.)

glasses for scoped rifle
I have a question about prescription glasses for scoped rifle: should I use distance or distance+.5 or something else?
My current shooting glasses for rifle with aperture sights are distance + .5. For pistol, I have distance + .75.
Thank you.

Re: dimensions of M18 plastic inserts?
Thanks, but I need 18mm stepped insert dimensions, not 22mm.
PS I edited the original post to make it clear that I am asking about inserts for 18mm front sight.

dimensions of plastic inserts for 18mm front sight?
I have a bunch of plastic inserts for 18mm front sight that are flat plastic discs. They fit perfectly my my 1962 match 54 with 18mm front sight. I also have a nice tinted insert that has a "step" - a wider outer diameter, and a "step" with smaller diameter. This insert is too lo...

Gwhite, thank you for these!
I do have a question: you mention that infill is not critical. But what would be reasonable? 25%? 50%? Less?
I don't have experience with 3d printing, but my friend who does it for me always asks about infill...

offhand advise needed
I recently started shooting offhand with my 1962 Anschutz SuperMatch 54. It's a very heavy rifle, and I was struggling to hold it with my supporting hand. So I added a palm rest which made it significantly easier to hold even though it is now over 13 lbs. After I adjusted palm rest, my cheek rest be...

Re: How many DIFFERENT pairs of eye glasses do I need?
I am definitely going to order dedicated pistol glasses. My trip to the optometrist is postponed due to 2 covid rounds in 2 weeks (paxlovid rebound). Before I got sick, I spent a few hours testing. The best results for the pistols were at distance +1.0. In the morning distance +.75 was also very goo...

Re: How many DIFFERENT pairs of eye glasses do I need?
@David M: Thank you! Very helpful. I will take this to my optometrist. @OdieRedmond: according to my optometrist, my intermediate bifocals are reading on bottom and about 7 feet focal distance on top (distance + .5). My intermediate progressives have the largest portion of the lenses for computer, b...

Re: How many DIFFERENT pairs of eye glasses do I need?
Thank you for the suggestions! @UnGe: - for your desired focus distance, you need adjustment to your _distance_ prescription +1/(Distance in meters) I will take this formula to my optometrist. @Rover: I do have slight astigmatism; my progressives and bifocals correct it. Sounds like 1 pair should co...

How many DIFFERENT pairs of eye glasses do I need?
Hello all, I am having a lot of difficulties finding the right glasses. I shoot 22LR rifle at 50 feet and 25 yards indoors. I shoot air rifle and air pistol at 10 meters outdoors and 8.5 meters indoors (scaled down targets). I am in my 60's and wear intermediate progressive at home and full progress...

Re: question about AV-46m (IZH-46m)
Update: I sent my pistol back and received a replacement that functions properly. The new pistol is averaging 445 fps with Excite 7.4 gr and about 405 fps with vogel merlin match plus 8.2 gr. Interesting that the trigger on the replacement is much heavier than on the original, both are brand new fro...

Re: question about AV-46m (IZH-46m)
Same as Vadym's: my pistol can be cocked to dry fire but the lever will only stay up if valve under pressure.
I already saw 2 other AV46M that do not have this problem. So I believe that it is an individual pistol problem.

Re: question about AV-46m (IZH-46m)
So my gun cannot be cocked by hand: the detent is not holding the bolt/cover in upright position. The only way I can fully cock it is by doing a complete pump, then manually cocking it.
I think it means that my gun is defective.

Re: question about AV-46m (IZH-46m)
Yes, that is exactly how I do it. It seems that the detent that holds the bolt in open vertical position is only fully engaged after the end of the pumping stroke. So here is the sequence: extend pump handle all the way forward, breach is open and bolt is pushed into vertical position, complete pump...

question about AV-46m (IZH-46m)
Hello, new user here. I bought a new AV-46m. When I extend the pump handle, it correctly opens the bolt and pushes the bolt upward. However, as soon as I finish pumping, the bolt falls down. It does not lock - just falls down. So I open it and click it into the vertical open position with a finger, ...
