I have come across people who have purchased or are shooting free pistols here in Socal, but have not shot a match. The other factor is to show the wanna-be swat twits that run the Prado range, that they had better welcome ALL shooters, esp. the younger ones i.e. airpistol ,so there is another generat...

Re: Please recommend some good pistol scope for silhouette s
What are some good air pistol scopes for silhouette shooting 5-50 yards? What are some scopes that would allow me to focus up to few yards in front of me and up to 50 yards away easily? Thanks. Silhouette shooting great fun. Hi Guest, for targets 5-50yds I haven't a clue as to which scope you would...

Me Three........
It looks pretty clear to me, too. The grip is NOT touching his wrist. It's contacting the fleshy part of the heel of his palm. Where does the wrist start? Hold your arm up with your palm facing you. Now bend your wrist so that your fingers are facing you. Any part that bends is hand; any part that ...

Summer Biathlon...
Hi William, I've always wondered what happened to summer biathlon since I first heard of it in the early/ mid 1990s. My son and I checked into it here in SoCal, but couldn't find much interest. My son was a 13:40s 5K runner and a sub 4 min miler, and he could shoot very well; having local club Hi-Po...

Ha....!
Hi Guys, I'm cross dominant and I don't consider it any kind of problem. My lousy scores are a result of lousy training attitude. I also shoot with both eyes open, no squinting required. Please don't try to force a dominance correction. We tend to have a more frontal stance, but not much really. I'm...

Hi Joe, I forgot to mention an extremely important(for me) feature that the FWB 100-102 and 103 have; and that's an adjustable width rear sight notch. This means that you dont have to flip the rear sight plate, like the one on the Izzy, to change the notch width. I think this is really important to ...

Hi Joe, The FWB mod 100 is also a big step above the IZZY. However, I think you can buy excellent used ones for $500-$600 . If you are willing to wait, you should be able to get a used mod 103 for $1000-$1200, they are worth the wait, this only if you want an SSP AP. I may buy a mod 103 in the futur...

Hi Dante, The fps seems okay to me, as long as it's fairly consistant. Your pellet choice does seem too heavy though. Try using light pellets around 7 grains, such as RWS Basics, JSB green tin or Vogel yellow tin. Those will shoot at least 400fps. This is more than sufficient for AP Silhouette. I ha...

you're right
Hi Lanning, the calibre of choice is .22, because of the advantage, the larger diameter provides. However, you don't need much energy to knock down a ram target that's only 18 yards away. I have silhouette swingers set at the prescribed distances in my backyard 10 meter range. I rarely miss the rams...

Cast versus Swaged....
Hi Steve, I do agree with all that you say about the superiority of swaged
bullets. However, are the cast bullets still capable of x-ring accurracy?
X-ring at 25 at yards...sure; at 50 yards, I dunno.

Hi Guest, I know that the series 70 Gold Cups, when new would most certainly group in the ten ring at 25 and 50 yards. Mine did when tested at 50 yards(tested/rested when I first bought in 1972), and it is unmodified. I don't know about series 80's because I dropped out of bullseye for about 18-20 y...

When I started shooting Bullseye in 1972, all my peers explained holding
at the bottom of the bull was called "6 Oclock" hold. it made perfect sense
to me then; and still does. There could be provincial differences I guess.

cheep practice pellets....
My pellet choice? purely financial based. RWS are the cheapest I can find on a consistent basis. I pay $6/tin for "practice", and $10/tin for "Match". If someone can point out something cheaper, by all means I'd be interested in knowing. Brian Hi Brian, if RWS Basics are a suitab...

Hi Jim....
Hi Jim, I think you can get a replacement valve for your 16oz co2 paintball bottle from Tim McMurray at: http://www.mac1airgun.com/ he makes valves to fit the bottles and mills off the pin valve section. Check out the site and give Mac-1 a phone call to describe your problem. I have a Steyr LP-1 tha...
